He is a really good professor. The class is tough, but I learned a lot. His tests can be pretty tough, but he grades pretty generously so it evens out.

Best class in my MS-SwEng. A little bit of a language barrier. Best to take him on-line so you can re-play his lecture without having to ask him to repeat himself.

You'll learn a lot. Just be sure that you don't overload yourself during his semester bc he assigns TONS of work. Two closed-book exams, you must do well on them because that's where the bulk of your grade is derived from.

Hands down the best CIS professor at the university. Elenbogen is the most fun, but Zhu is so knowledgable, professional, and organized. Best notes by any professor to date, and he explained very challenging concepts flawlessly. He made the class interesting enough for me to switch from a networking concentration to aspirations of being a DBA.

Great professor--probably the department's best. I'd take another class of his any day. Very helpful, courteous, etc. Class was challenging, but grading was fair.

He is the best instructor in the CIS department. I am not saying he is too easy. You have to study good to get the 'A'. But overall, he's well organized in his lectures, assignments, tests, and his office hours.

Lecture format a little strange: i.e. non-standard labels (*,-,^.. instead of I., A., a., 1., etc.) - overall good teacher. One word sums him up: SUPAKEY!!!!!!!!

Pretty good professor overall. A little difficult to understand at times. His lectures are incredibly disorganized in an... organized way. You have to take CIS 421 to understand what that means. But, overall, not too bad.

This prof is good. His exams are easy as long as u know the concepts. He is fair in his grading. I have taken two courses from him - and he is arguably one of the best profs in the department.
