Very nice guy, will answer questions and help you out, even during exams. However, he makes jokes often that take up time in class and he tests you on things he didnt teach.

Professor Gilles is a very knowledgeable guy, but he makes jokes all the time which confuses all the non American students. Read and study before you come into lab or you will fail the class. Professor Gilles is in my opinion not fair. The quizzes are long, not enough time. He expects too much, people have lives and other classes too!

Prof. Gillies is a very intelligent, quick witted man. He knows his stuff. He has somewhat of a grandfather aura about him; good energy. He clearly cares about his students, and he's pretty funny as well. In the beginning i don't think he pegged me as a "serious student", i think i proved him wrong. Tip: Read your lab before coming to class.

He is, by far, the best Professor I've ever had. He is passionate about his work and extremely helpful. It was definitely a pleasure being in his class. His classes are interesting and not stressful. Thank you for your confidence.

He is an awesome teacher,funny, doesnt penalize for coming late but attendance is importance to learn the subject this its an heavy course. Very understandable and clear lectures. Hint: read the chapters, do the hw its the same questions on the test. He give a thorough review before ea. exam granting u an A. Listen in class he hints out exam qu. *

Best professor. i was scared in start that i am not going to pass this class but i ended up with A . just be focused in lectures and labs . its not an easy subject but if you do whatever he teaches you will for sure have an A . FOR labs note down very single word he speaks. best professor very concerned about students. would love to take again.

THE WAY HE TEACHES IS AMAZING, ALWAYS ANSWERS QUESTIONS IN LECTURE AND EXPLAINS IT VERY WELL TOO! BUT IF YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE CHEM/PHY FOR THE FIRST, IT WILL GET VERY FRUSTRATING BECAUSE HE MAKES YOU WORK REALLY HARD FOR A GOOD GRADE.

Do outside work! This is the perfect example of how imperfect the education system is. He knows his material, but not necessarily how to get the information into OUR brain. Nuff said! He expects you to know something after one exposure that he does after 40 years of being in the field! This is a very tough course if you don't pay attention.

There's no other way to put it, this class in general is hard. If science isn't your best subject, it's going to be challenging no matter who is teaching it. Personally, I loved this professor and found him to be extremely helpful. He prepares you for all of the exams that he gives, there's really no reason anyone should fail. Excellent professor.

Wonderful professor who truly cares about his students. Whenever I wasnt clear on a certain topic, he would repeat himself and explain thoroughly. This was useful because it really is a hard class. This prof has my highest recommendation. If you need to take SCI25, take his class, hes definitely one of the best! You will enjoy his class!

At first, I was worried because its known that SCI25 is a difficult course; Now that the semester is over, I feel so lucky to have taken prof Gillies class. Be sure to complete the homework assignments, theyre relevant to class material/ lecture exams. Also, he prepares you for the TEAS exam. Take this professor, hes excellent

Great Prof! He really grows on you, he genuinely cares about his students and takes extra time if necessary to go over the material or give personal help. This course was difficult for me but he really helped me through it. He gives a lot of homework but takes most of his test questions from them so that was fine by me. He has my recommendation.

Prof. Gillies is one of the best profs Ive had at Kbcc. His labs are quite difficult but his lecture tests are fairly easy if you study hard. He really cares about his students. Taking him helped me with the TEAS exam. He teaches hard content very easily in the lecture and you remember it! Id take him again!

Prof Gillies genuinely cares about your future in health and wants you to succeed. You will have to read the chapters and study hard but you will leave his class feeling like you actually learned something. His labs are extremely tricky but his lecture tests are not bad if you study hard. He can be confusing at times but he does care.

Gillies is overall a great professor! He knows his stuff. He expects you to read the chapters and labs before coming to class. His tests are hard but its nothing he doesn't prepare you for. He will repeat whatever you don't understand. He goes slow with his lectures so you can understand everything thoroughly. Wouldn't mind taking again!
