Have taken both introduction to logic and philosophy with this professor. He is a very intellectual man and as long as you do your homework you will be fine. He is a critic so if you cannot pick yourself up after criticism this class as well as life may prove difficult for you.

I liked his class even though it was quite hard. I didn't get as good of a grade as I would have liked to even though I did homework for hours each night for this class. It was an interesting class and the teacher is funny. I know many people get quite frustrated with this class though.

Overall the professor was interesting and he was funny to watch in class, however his class was extremely difficult. There's over load of homework, the tests are extremely difficult, and his class performance usually goes 50/50. So if you take this class you're 50% likely to get a bad grade.

Very difficult instructor, you need to be highly educated in philosophy to understand his study questions, which are an exhausting amount each day, and tests are harder than the tests i took at a state university.

Challenging professor. Great experience. I took Intro to Logic and World Religions with Professor Hauser. Having gone on to graduate from a 4-year college, he is still one of the top 3 professors that I've had.

Weirdest and most interesting professor I have had. Logic was extremely difficult, however regardless of who is teaching it, it's not meant to be easy. The homework load was rediculous, but it took me til the final chapter to figure out that doing all the homework was necessary. Never a dull moment with Hauser and I would highly recommend him.

You will get extremely annoyed with this class and all of the relentless packets of busywork every night. My class started out full and now there are about 8 regulars. He is very tough in grading the essay tests. He's nice but should treat the class more like an intro class like it is supposed to be.

Be prepared to spend 1-2 hours on homework for every class. If you don't like talking in class and debating, don't take him. He forces you to talk about beliefs and tries to prove you wrong. The workload is heavy, he has essay tests (about 30 questions), and 4 essays. I wouldn't recommend taking him unless you love in-depth philosophy.

He is entertaining and makes the class interesting, but the first half of the semester might as well be called theology. Lots of time consuming homework and for the test you better know everything to a T if you want close to an A. His test are fill in the blank. The material is too large for his testing and study time to narrow.

I would not recommend this professor my friends. If you don't have the time to memorize vast quantities of material in a short time do not take this class. I have received 60 credits towards my AA so far and out of ALL of my classes this one consumed most of my time by FAR. If you enjoy doing nothing but homework this is the ideal class for you.

I took intro to philosophy and intro to ethics with Hauser and loved him. His classes are challenging, but he's a great teacher. He is very intelligent and quite eccentric and classes were always interesting. If you're interested in these fields, are willing to do the work, and aren't easily offended I would highly recommend taking a class with him

He was a teacher that skipped around alot. He only had readings by devout religious writers when we talked about gods existance. He also made very inappropriate comments atleast once a week if not more. His tests were hard but fairly graded. Profanity is common through out his class also.

I thought he was a terrible teacher. He jumped all over the place, you never knew what he was talking about, and the tests had the most rediculous questions ever. I would not reccommend him for any class ever.

This guy is great. Makes the class fun and easy to learn. He is hillariously eccentric. Found myself going to class just to see what he would say. Gets to know everyone personally. Very available if you have questions. Really cares about your learning.

Most eccentric professor I've ever had, but it makes you want to show up to class just to see what he will say that day. Takes hard material and makes it easy to understand. Lots of extra credit if you do your homework before class. Hard material, but with due dilligence and easy grade. Best professor I've had. Funniest too.
