Comment:
I did not like this guy. I had him during the summer. He cancelled half the classes, said we would have discussion boards and he only bothered with one, and his tests didn't always follow his lecture. When I asked about specific questions after class, he would smile and shake his head like I was an idiot.

I took the DVD version of the class. It was great because he would sometimes get off track and ramble, and I could just fast forward. When he was on topic, the lectures were interesting. Most of the test comes from the reading, so do the reading!

Excellent professor, belongs in his position as head of department. Combines high expectations with extreme helpfulness in a way that a professor should, and in a way that other professors should strive to emulate. Very interesting, knowledgable, and experienced. I feel that I made more growth in his class than in most others, through the challenge.

His lectures were interesting, I always enjoyed listening to them. My only complaint is that the exams did not cover what the pathetic excuse for a syllabus said they would cover. I pointed it out to him, he told me he would look into it. Obviously he didnt, because he never got back with me. Average test scores for the class are C range.

Tries to make a boring subject interesting, but isn't too successful. Very helpful though. Overall, not a bad professor. Take him if you can.
