Had him for gen chem 1 and 2 lab and I'm so happy I did. He is extremely helpful and explains everything in different ways until you understand. He cares about his students and wants you to do well. If you meet him half way he will help you the other half. Highly recommend, especially if chem isn't your strongest subject. Best lab prof KU has.

Dr. Mayrhofer is definitely the best professor I have ever taken at KU. Even though Pchem is a hard course, he makes you feel like everything is okay. Lots of homework and worksheets but it helps you learn. Go to him for help whenever you need it and you will be okay.

The best professor I have ever had at Kutztown. I only had him for lab but he cares so much about his students and is always willing to help even if it isn't related to school work. Would definitely recommend taking him for absolutely anything.

Professor Mayrhofer is honestly the best chem teacher you can get at KU! He is always accessible in and outside of class if you need him. Also, he is just a very nice person and honestly cares to help you.

I had Professor Mayrhofer for Chem 2 and he is one of the best professors around. He is probably the most caring professor I have ever known, fully making himself available outside of the classroom to make sure the students are grasping the material. Highly recommend him.

Prof. Mayrhofer is excellent. He cares about his students and doesn't want to fail them. His tests are hard; however, he gives you easy points if he sees that you are trying on the open-ended questions. His tests usually have approx. 15 multiple choice and 3 open-ended. I highly recommend him. Go to class to better understand the course material.

Honestly, the best professor ever!!! Extremely helpful! He opens up his office hours to help students. He doesn't teach chem lab but will help you if you don't understand whats being taught by your other professor. If you have the chance to take him, DEFINATELY DO IT! You won't regret it!

He's was the best teacher ever. He's such a sweetheart and truly cares about his students not only on an academic level but also on a personal level. He made understand Chemistry easy and fun. He truly wants his students to succeed. There were about 5 tests no more than 25 multiple choice each and the final was only 50 MC. Best teacher Ever!!!!!!!!

Great guy, really wants the students to understand. Takes his time at explaining everything and assigns homework to help out. He tends to curve his tests to, mainly because Chem is impossible, but overall great guy.
