Comment:
Yeah, I received an A but I'm still gonna talk trash. You will notice that when submitted the same answer in the exam, people receive different credits. Even there are people who received full credits without completing the whole question. If your major requirement provides alternative choices other than MATH205, just run!

Comment:
Professor Zhang is a good person at heart and genuinely loves mathematics. However, his lectures are a little unorganized and at times it is difficult to understand what exactly hes saying (not his accent). A class with very simple concepts felt much more difficult with Professor Zhang. Still better than Professor Johnson for MATH 205

Zhang is responsible for such incredibly out of touch grading decisions that on occasion the other teachers for the course put out passive aggressive emails refering to "a certain teachers decision(s)"

Professor Zhang really cares about his students. I struggled a lot with the material and he was always very helpful during office hours. The notes he shares with you are very helpful and make it easy to study for exams because they're very similar. Overall, I would highly recommend taking linear algebra with him

Prof Zhang wants you to pass. It took a while to get used to his accent but he's a good professor and his tests are fair. I took his summer class and he rounded my grade up because I showed up to every class. His practice tests will really prepare you for the tests. He had quizzes every day but dropped the lowest two. I would take his class again.

Took the class this summer and i am glad i did. Group quiz every day that adds up to 100 and 3 midterms. drops the lowest of the 4 totals and no cumulative final. the grade is unimportant to him, he wants you to learn the material.

At first I didnt think I would like Zhang because of his thick accent, but in the end he turned out to be my favorite prof. He is really funny and likes to make fun of the other 205 profs(Coll). He doesnt always explain what hes doing but 205 is an easy enough class that you can just memorize his methods. Tests are a replica of the study guide.

My areas of interest make little use of differential equations, but this is still one of the most interesting math classes I have taken. Professor Zhang teaches difficult concepts in an intuitive manner. Take his class if you are motivated by learning new things.

I took Calc 022 in the summer for the first time. Horrible decision. Class was long and dull, he likes to call on people who clearly don't know the answers. Does not fully explain all steps and expects you to have an in-depth background already. Bad at explaining answers and just repeats the answer. Avoid him if you can!!!!!!! Makes corny jokes too

Absolutely horrible. Can't understand his English. It's difficult to take a class when you can't understand the professor. He knows his stuff but can't communicate effectively

Lectures are not helpful. He writes on the board with little to no explanation. It is clear that nobody in the class follows him. However, the class itself is incredibly simple with short homework assignments and easy exams. I learned very little in the class.

Lectures are boring. Doesnt teach you anything. He is funny only because of his lack of english skills. Be prepared to teach yourself the material. Homework is easy and spread out and tests are easy as well.

He's a decent teacher but he doesn't explain what he is putting on the board well. He clearly knows his stuff, but he's not good at communicating it. Often calls on unsuspecting students in class and wastes time this way, and says he is putting things on the exam when he doesn't have any intention to, or vice versa.

Worst math teacher ever. Makes bad jokes all the time and laid too much pressure on students. It's better to read the book and study on your own than attending his class.

Math 22 is a hard class especially for the summer. He skips a lot of steps and does not explain the processes thoroughly. Exams are clone copies of review sheets. Challenges students and loves picking on students randomly for answers to questions he is doing on the board. Office hours are a must.

Comment:
You'll get past his accent after a while. Good teacher, but doesn't explain what all the different processes are used for, you kind of have to figure that out on your own. Everything builds on itself, so don't get lost early.
