I spent 90% of class on my computer shopping and stuff. His tests are literally word for word what he says in class. Also if you ask him questions during tests he'll help you out a ton. Not a hard class at all, love Eugene. You actually learn a bit from him and he gets you into art. <3 Eugene

Harris keeps long lectures interesting and found myself dozing only bc my class was in the morning. Definitely more helpful to take notes on the computer bc it makes it easier to quickly take notes on the details that'll definitely be on the tests. He really knows what he's talking about and is pretty funny. Just make sure you study hard for tests.

I took as a quad class, which was nice until it actually started w/ 100 minutes of class twice a week. Tests are based off lectures and can be passed if you are somewhat consciously paying attention in class. Glad I took this as a GE, and he does offer extra credit. Also, anything above 90% is an A, not an A-, so good for GPA too.

I personally loved his class, however, the tests are worth 70% of your grade. You should go to class because it is lecture heavy and he tells tiny details that will most likely show up on the test.

Tests are 70% of your grade, make sure you study. Quite disorganized and last-minute. Hardly uses textbook. Make sure to show up to class or you'll miss the lecture which is essential to what you need to pass. Despite a GE definitely makes you work for the grade.

Don't skip class because his lectures are basically the test. Take notes on everything. Other than that he's not a bad professor. Interesting class.

Dr. Harris is a professor who really cares about his students and wants them to learn how to appreciate and look at art in a more fun and open sort of way. I absolutely loved the class!!! So much fun group interaction, only 3 simple exams with no cumulative final, tons of extra credit opportunities and just 2 gallery reports. Take this class!!!

Easy class. Took this as a quad class (definitely recommend!!) Nice guy with interesting lectures. Have to attend two galleries and write report (many on campus options). Three tests that are real easy, just take notes in class. NO cumulative final, just three tests. Extra credit opportunities.

Great professor. Attend all classes and pay attention. Tests are multiple choice and very doable. 3 tests for 30% of your grade each. He even offers extra credit! Would take again.

He really doesn't teach on relevant materials that are on the tests. He does a poor job in preparing for tests. He is a nice guy but honestly is hard to listen to for an hour and forty minutes.

Grading Scale is A B C F. So if you have a B+ you get a B. In other words, if you put your head down and study hard for that B+ you'll get the same grade as someone who actually deserved and got a B. Bitter sweet on your GPA depending on if this ends up hurting or helping you. Don't find that grading scale fair at all. Was my worst grade.

Took Dr. Harris for Intro to Art and I hope I get the chance to take him again. Found myself looking forward to coming to class everyday! Interesting, relaxing lectures that tell you all you need to know for the few tests. Tests and museum critiques are the only grades + EC. Laser-Day. Wonderful man, great teacher. Awakened an appreciation for Art.

Tests are huge. But just go to class and take lecture notes. He provides study slides for which the test will cover. I mainly just used the text book to help me study. Also, he divides the class into three tests instead of two, which is actually really great during midterms when you have tests in all your classes except for this one. Art is cool.

He is a very intelligent man. He requires you know a lot of information about A LOT of different art pieces and periods. But, sometimes i feel too much is expected especially since this is a g.e and not all of the class is art majors. If you listen really well to his lectures, take really goood notes. And study ALOT before tests. you will be ok.
