He is the most helpful professor ever, he definitely won't let you fail the class. Although, the way the class is set up with group work is horrible and inefficient, Doesn't lecture, you have to learn the material by yourself, if you don't understand you have to wait for him to help you which could take a long time. Great guy but bad class setup

Best Math professor at State, he truly wants the students to pass and understand the material. Always willing to help you one on one. He gives a lot of opportunities for your grade to go up. He starts the semester with the HARDEST chapters working up tot he easiest one! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HIM!

Mr. Z is one of the most kindest and sincere professors I've ever had the pleasure of having at SJSU. He genuinely cares that you succeed in the class and he is always willing to help. Math is definitely not my favorite subject, but he made it enjoyable. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend him!

Best math teacher i've had in all my school years. very, very helpful and is always available in office hours to help as well. He does not check homeworks, but you do need to pass his tests and quizzes in order to get an A in the class. BEST MATH TEACHER

He is really a good teacher! He will definitely help you if you need help. You take chapter tests but you get three chances to retake them! Come to class to get the notes and you will pass the class. He is always offering his office hours, so if you need help I highly recommend you go to him and ask for help. GREAT TEACHER (=

He really cares for his students, I went to him all the time for help and you should take advantage of his office hours. I never got math and this is the first time i didnt really have to worry, do the hwk for the tests even the problems he doesnt assign, he tends to use the same problems!

extremely helpful teacher! you have 3 chances to pass each test and he makes sure you understand all the problems. I didn't even show up to class unless there was a quiz or test that day and he didn't mind. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I'm about to take him next semester as well.

Makes mistakes all the time, his teaching methods are really hard to understand. Many people in my class seem so confused whenever they ask questions. I have to study outside of class just to keep up. Makes math even more confusing. I feel as if I am getting dumber, and its algebra. Avoid strongly AVOID AVOID !!!

Mr. Z is a really sweet person. He is extremely helpful and really does want you to pass his class. He lets you retake your chapter tests 3 times. If you pass your test than you get a day off of class. I def RECOMMEND him! he is a very good teacher. Just pay attention so you don't fall behind. hes actually pretty funny as well. :)

such a nice and sweet professor! VERY helpful and approachable. he really wants his students to do well and understand the material, and he definitely helps them do so. If you're worried about math take his course, he makes math easy! the only thing is his accent is a little hard to understand in the beginning but you get used to it.

I was worried he would challenge me in an even more extreme way, because I always struggled with math, but he was super helpful &does NOT turn any student away if they need help. He is the the absolute best. I highly recommend taking him if you were like me &was not proficient in math.

At first his accent may seem hard to understand, but you get used to his teaching methods. He's extremely helpful and math is not my favorite subject. However, he gives good examples during class and helps students truly understand each chapter and concepts. One of the really rare good math teachers I've ever had.
