Comment:

IDH2121 HONORS STUDIES is required if you want to graduate with honors, so I honestly had no idea what this class was. This class was okay 8 units, 8 discussion posts, a PSA project, and a reflection paper. It is an easy A class, the professor has required zoom meeting, but I told her my schedule, and she understood.

I have to say that Ms. King is a great professor. She is very knowledgeable in African-American studies and has created a class that is easy to follow, but incredibly full of information that has helped me understand the history of African-Americans. You would be a fool not to take this professor. I recommend her 1000 percent. Thank you, Ms. King.

If you are really looking to learn about African American History Prof. King is one of the most knowledgeable Professors I ever had at BC. Her class is amazing 7 short assignments, 7 Journal entries which require 2 short paragraphs on what you learn on each unit, and 8 short quizzes which she gives you a study guide for and tons of extra credit!

Very laid back professor. Cancels class a few times but she always emails so make sure you check that. I wish she would've included a little bit more of LGBTQ history. It was very African American history heavy (which is totally fine) I just would've loved to read more about my community's history.

Professor King is amazing. She's so knowledgeable and passionate about the material that it just makes you want to learn more. It is indeed a lot of reading, but definitely worth it. Besides, it's college. You must read a lot. History tends to be a bit boring, but she makes it interesting and interactive.

The class is fun since it is all based on discussion and engaging conversations. It is a blended class, so you must be aware of due dates of online quizzes and assignments. There is a project with an interview at the end. Prof. King is one of the best overall.

One of the best teachers. If you are second guessing taking her class just take it!! It's almost impossible to fail with all the extra credit provided. She really knows what she's talking about and she pushes her students to have intellectual conversations in class. Make sure to review over her powerpoint and to read the units from the book to pass

Awesome took her for African American History online and she gave a lot of work but in the end it benefited me because I learned so much valuable things. She only give 2 exams and 15 quizzes and discussions but she is awesome on grading and giving feed back.

I took Professor King for AMH Honors and it was amazing. It was my favorite honors class at BC. She makes the class so interesting and she motivates students to participate. I am an international student so I did not know a lot about American History but she was such an amazing professor and I learned a lot from her. Quizzes are easy, 1 paper+Prezi

Such an amazing professor. Her test, assignments, and discussions are not difficult. Her class help you to learn so much about history. She offers extra credit and at the end she reopens all her work and if you didn't get a chance to do the work now would be your chance. I took her course for Honors. Class was engaging and never overwhelming. You have online quizzes and take home assignments to be discussed in class. Wrote one paper, but she made it very fun and engaging and had us present a prezi of our paper to demonstrate our understanding. Great professor.

It's a writing class so expect to read/write A LOT! Discussions/unit quizzes every week, 2 short answer response assignments, 2 prezi assignments and midterm/ final consisting of mc exam and writing. Expect to put in a lot of study time to get an A. Utilize the given resources! Gives great extra credit. Not hard just a lot b/c it's fast track.

Definitely would recommend her! She's good at giving lectures and is pretty clear with them. Her quizzes and assignments are super easy, especially the midterm and final, she let us use our notes and the whole class was an easy A!

Prof King is awesome ! I love her, one of the best professors i've ever had. She give a lot of extra credit opportunities. Of course, like any other professor she likes to challenge her students at times, but as long as you skim through each chapter and listn to her lectures you should pass her class with no less than a B :)

She is a great professor. She is very knowledgeable on American history and is great at teaching it's facts and concepts of the how and why of it. She loves to encourage her students to take what they learn outside of the class and understand its relationship with present events.
