I learned a lot from the books but I really learned nothing in class. We watched movies in class and discussions always failed because no one participated. Grade is made entirely of quizzes (you take one each class). Must thoroughly read the books for quizzes because he often asks obscure questions.

I took a night class with him and he was so easy on us. 12 kids in total and it was more of a hang out session than a class. the first test he gave us had 50% of the questions taken from the study guide, but some people didn't do as well as he wanted so the next test was 75% questions fom the study guide. Take him..hes easy

his ta didn't speak english, i basically learned turkish instead of bio.quizzes were fair.very easy.makes u learn concepts rather than straight out of the book like the lecture, which helps.

means well, nice guy, but TERRIBLE 3 hour class! cant teach for crap...made us read Darwin, then teach each other info we could care less about. Essay tests, pop quiz essays, and project. Not too bad of a grader though. However, i wouldnt recommend him at all...didn't learn a damn thing.

Ketch is the man. Anyone hating on him is a herb! He teaches this class to non-bio majors and thus doesn't make it impossible. He opened my eyes to many environmental issues etc. Take him!
