I had her for my online class. We did discussion boards and had tests for every 2-3 chapters. Everything is straight from the book so there are no surprises on the tests. Quizzes are optional but not mandatory. Overall great professor, would love to have her again :)

This professor is incredibly kind and caring. The amount of homework did feel a little heavy,but if you have any trouble keeping up,as long and you communicate w/ her she is very forgiving. I took this course online and wish I would've been able to meet her in person.

Dr. Byerwalter is one of the best prof's I've ever had. I've taken all the classes she teaches. You show up, do the work, you'll pass no problem. She has clear guidelines and timelines for the course. Tests are multiple choice usually 50 ?s and NO CUMMULATIVE FINAL!

She is one of the best online teachers had. It was my first online class so I was pretty nervous. But she made the online class a breeze! Her lectures are easy to sit through, and she gives good information. She is very helpful if you have questions, and is super nice! She knows her stuff, and is just an amazing prof all around. Take her!

Great online class. Lectures are not crazy long but very informational. Quizzes and tests cover the important stuff without getting lost in the weeds. Easy going professor, easy to learn in this class.

Dr. B is def one of the best psych profs at GRCC. I have had her for two psych courses now and loved both. She cares about the success of her students, gives great feedback, several extra credit opportunities, and is sensitive to the needs of others. Would recommend her to anyone.

I had her for an online class and her expectations are very clear. But, don't be alarmed when you have to take the exams with a lockdown browser. So, studying and reading the textbook is very important. She always gave very nice feedback on papers and was very caring. I just wish I would've taken an in seat class versus online.

Dr. Byerwalter is very friendly and wants to help! Her online class was well structured and easy to follow. I like that she posts her lectures rather than just a power point and the quizzes and exams are easy as long as you do the reading and watch the lectures. Only one paper and didn't have to do any discussion board posts.

Great professor! I enjoyed taking developmental psych with her. The class was easy- I spent a hour going over the material before the test and easily got A's on every one. She was very interesting. Highly recommend!

Very personable, nice and understanding! Made a course packet with all the notes so its very easy to follow lecture. All the exam study guides are available at the beginning of the semester and she does a great job including everything that will be on the exam in the study guides. Easily one of my favorite professors! Offers a few EC opportunites

Good class, exams are timed and you don't have time to look up each answer in the book. Do the study guides and the tests become easy. 5 exams-worth most of your grade. Have to go into the school to the last on. Lots of quizzes and a discussion board each week. Quizzes are super easy.

Wrote 2 papers that were only 5 pages long and got A's on both of them. Easy grader, good class. No final exam if you choose to do 10 hours of community service and a 2 page paper on your service. Otherwise, the final exam is 100 points. Semi-difficult exams but there are only 5 of them. If you read, you'll do ok. Good class, would take it again.

Dr. Byerwalter is hands down the best prof I've ever had. She make class fun. She provides you with a course pack with all the notes. She posts study guides for exams, and what are key pages to read. The book wasn't used so don't get it. Good at giving feedback & emailing back. Super helpful & over a good personality and person. Loved her class !!

She is an amazing teacher. I learned a lot, because she made sure to post all of her lectures online. If you study for the class you should get an A, it definitely is not an easy A. She grades fairly. I would recommend taking her class if you want to learn a lot about psychology.

I like that Dr. Byerwalter posts her lectures on the online course. It makes learning the material easier. (And worth it.) Discussion boards for online classes are pretty simple, just one post a week (as long as it fits her criteria) will get you an A. (Make sure it's a good post though.)

I love Dr. Byerwalter! I took her online and I would seriously recommend her to anyone! She is very clear about what she wants from students and the chaptersmodules were pretty easy. She is also very knowledgeable about psychology and you can tell she's very passionate about it. I wish I could take all of her classes.

Very easy yet interesting class. I never touched the book. just took notes on her lectures. Every 3 weeks you have; 3 videos & quizzes, 1 paper, and a unit test. All this can be done in 1 day if you want to. The paper is 3 pages double spaced. She is very knowledgable and doesn't just read powerpoints to you which is nice. I highly recommend.

Dr. Byerwalter is an amazing prof. I would recommend her to anyone. She really cares about her students; she is willing to bend over backwards just to see her students succeed. She is a great connection if you are a psych major. We still keep in touch even though I do not have her anymore. She is an awesome professor and a wonderful woman!
