All common sense, exams are extremely easy and I never bought the book or course pack. She's well intentioned, and talks about interesting things, but unfortunately, she's behind the times with lecture style and energy. This was a 1x week night class too... I had to drink a lot of coffee to get by.

This is the first time in my whole entire life I have gotten a C as a final grade. I had no idea what was going on. I tried really really hard to get it, but it just didn't click. :/ If you're into science and biology stuff...you might do better than me. :/

She talks a bunch of nonsense. I think I understand something, and then her test is really really hard and detailed. I never know what to expect and I find this class really difficult. :(

Lectures are delivered without any concern for the student and go through dull repetitive motions. It's painful for anyone wanting something from their time spent in the classroom.

Her classes are definitely fair & she has an interesting teaching technique, with relevant and fun learning examples utilized often. As long as you attend lecture regularly, and take good notes- you are good to go. She offers many extra credit opportunities for improving one's grade. Use textbook more as a review tool, her lecture content/notes are

None of the lecture was based on the book, but tests were based on lecture. Review is useless. For an Honors course, it was very non-honors with no class discussion or participation. HOWEVER!! I had some major health issues during the semester and Alida was Amazing. She helped me soo much and was willing to work with me every step of the way.

Prof. Westman has the gift of patience. I still feel she should be teaching experimental or statistics. Prof. Westman offered many chances and had high expectations. I can only encourge folk to take her courses, especially if you are planning on a career in Education. She is not a big fan of Freud, yet let me do an other/extra credit on him.

The fact that the subject matter is boring is really not the problem. The fact that the presentation is completely awful is.

Bad class. Mostly a rant disguised as education. Expect bias that's so heavy-handed it's unpersuasive.

I like her class. I would guess that people who gave her poor ratings are generalyy stupid, and did poorly in her classes. Stop blaming your professors for your lack of brain capacity.

If you were nice enough to ask, she'd explain to you that the reason she speaks like she does is because she works with the hearing impaired, thus slowly and emphasizing things that we, as people who can hear, usually don't hear. Shes a very sweet, and helpful prof, had sens&perc & child psych with her and got an A without struggle. Do your work.

Very intelligent professor but difficult to understand. It's not her accent that is the problem, it's the way she words things and jumps from subject to subject. The exams are very difficult to understand, even if you know the material. Make sure to buy textbook and read each section, attend every class, and take notes.
