This class was one of the worst i've taken. This teacher will not stay on topic, isnt clear with her instructions, and will argue with you about the opinion you took on a persuasive essay. She would tell me my argument is wrong because she doesn't agree with it. Stay away from controversial topics in this class. Otherwise, shes not a tough grader

There's a lot of writing. In 1301 have 5 papers that don't count as a grade. After you turn in the 5th paper, you take the departmental C test. Then if you so choose, you have two more papers to make an A in the class. Her grading isn't tough and she cuts slack as long as you really listen to her feedback (which she gives on every paper)

This class was the worst class I had ever taken in ACC. She sometimes doesn't show up and expects paper handed by mail on the due date. The worst part is that she doesn't use blackboard or emails to notify us of her absence. Instead, we drive all the way to the campus to find her note sticking beside the door. I regret taking this class.

Prof Wright is a very intelligent person. HOWEVER, you have to apply yourself to get help if needed. She is a college professor, so if you're not catching on get clarification from her outside of class. She won't hold your hand. You'll have 5 papers, plus an "A & B" paper. You could do without the books, just a few readings. Just xerox them.

This professor missed several classes due to being sick. She gave no notice of no class except when you drove up to school and saw the note on the door. After missing several classes, in which time period papers with no due date where "due", she expected you to have already turned in the paper. If you take this professor, read her syllabus.

This teacher will not allow you to use higher level English Composition knowledge. A paper of mine was rejected on the grounds that "we haven't covered this material yet". In a College level English class one would think that displays of higher level understanding would be welcome however this is not so. For intelligent students she will be a pain.

Do your work and you should be fine. Don't expect her to walk you through everything step by step. She's lax on attendance and due dates. Just make sure you give yourself a head start on the c paper.

Was a very easy class if you have a basic grasp on grammar and punctuation. Made an A in the class without trying. If you need help she was more than willing to help anyone out. All the information is located in your textbook.

To start off she is horribly disorganized and even her syllabus is unclear. There is an oral ore station after the first week on things we hadn't even learned/covered yet! Along with that, ACC English department is horrible. Grades are based on the amount of work you do and not even how well you do it. To get an A you had to write 9 Papers in 4wks

Look, guys. Shes a god awful teacher. She doesnt explain anything and has a terrible grasp on how to engage a classroom, but the class is super easy. Just write your papers on time and theres no way you can't get a B or an A if you want.

Horrible teacher, she never wanted to listen to you, she never helped you out when needed, when you did go to her office for help she would argue with you on why she is right and you are wrong. She told me to throw my essay away after I had worked on it for almost a full week. She was rude! DON'T STAY IN HER CLASS!

Horrible professor. She never wanted to listen to what you had to say. She didnt really give us any instructions on our paper assignment she just expected us to have them done on time. It is very hard to pass this class with a C and it is almost impossible to get an A in the class. If your looking for and esay class this is not for you.

Horrible professor. DID not ever explain anything. She would continue to just yell and have no interaction with her students. I had to drop the course in order for my GPA to not suffer. I would rather take the class with a teacher who will actually help me and make the subject more enjoyable.

Horrible professor... She just kept yelling at me whenever I asked if she could explain somethings in different ways.. She would just continue to rant about how we weren't listening... When in reality we just asked for clarification.. Horrible horrible professor.

Very disappointing. I followed all the guidelines to a tee and still managed to fail. Does not stick to syllabus. She is impossible to real help on writing papers. Makes rude comments while receiving her "help". Talks badly about students when they are not present in front of the entire class and challenges you to make a compliant about her.

I don't understand all the poor ratings at all. Ms. Wright is definitely cantankerous but it's totally endearing. She knows her subject very well. If you don't show up to class and don't do any of the work you will have trouble. Write your papers, you'll be fine.

Come across as a bit cantankerous at first, but she's a good teacher with a great sense of humor. Enjoys the subject and it shows. Straightforward class with no surprises. Those that don't do well are either totally illiterate or just don't care. I suspect the latter is more often the case.
