Comment:
Dr. Driscoll is awesome. With that being said, this class is very hard. For the first exam, they practically gave you a free 100. However, the course becomes extremely difficult after that, and I was pretty disappointed I couldn't keep an A after I put in all the work I did. With that being said, Dr. Driscoll is the best of the 3 profs. Take him.

A fantastic guy. He embraces technology (aka MATLAB) in lecture and writes helpful course notes that supplement the course. Some of his lessons were rough around the edges, but this is likely due to transitioning to a new (and terrible) textbook this year and editing the curriculum. Memes are hit or miss, but the gen Z humor is there nonetheless.

Excellent professor! Very clear lectures, with plenty of notes and other resources on his website to help. He teaches you all the material you need to complete homework and projects on your own, and the tests are very straightforward. Also excellent memes!

His textbook is the reason I'm failing comp math 1. I've never read anything so poorly written. There's not even an alternate text given, since he just wants you to buy the one he wrote.

I thought Prof. Driscoll was a fantastic professor for 243. Make sure you go to all of the lectures since the content is important and he does clicker quizzes which are a portion of your grade. Quizzes were fair and graded loosely. Tests were about the same as the tests from 241 and 242; class material was a bit easier. Would take again.

I only have one thing to state. The final average was 62.5 and he did not give any curve after all. I was working really really hard the whole semester, but my final grade has jumped from A- to B because of the final.

PROFESSA TOBY D. IS MAH BOI!!! I loved this guy, so smart and willing to help students. Sometimes got a little intimidating but even when he was rough around the edges cared about nothing but his student's success. Tests were fairly difficult but hey! Its Calculus for cryin out loud! Best of all he gave partial credit, to make SURE you did okay.

This teacher is very good take him if you have the chance. He gives homework on webassign and if you do them then you will get by pretty easy. He gives you a easy 10% for a project which will help your grade. Study material and do homework and you will do fine. final is exact replica of practice finals 89% piece of cake.

He is a smart guy, but not a great teacher. He designs the homework and the exams, but the exams do not reflect the style of the homeworks. My advice.. stick with the book, it will help you more than he will. If the book could talk he would be fired.

driscoll was a great teacher. his lectures are always clear, and he makes it easy to take notes. he does very difficult example in the notes, but it helps to udnerstand the material. online homework was a drag, but the test questions were almost identical so it helps to do them. he's always available to help his students even in the large class

Driscoll is an overall nice guy, he means well and is extremely fair when it comes to test content. As long as you pay attention in class you should be okay. He's approachable and likes to incorporate real world applications of the math in his lesson plan which can be a breath of fresh air.

Tests aren't hard, class is boring, very average for a math teacher. HW can be long and maple is annoying. Overall he's an average teacher.

I took AP calc BC in high school and thought this class would be easy but it wasn't! Tough grader esp. since I don't show any work. Made me hate math. One of the reasons I am not doing a math minor anymore (same situation with MATH 243). Good professor overall but homework is annoying. Maple HW assignments are brutual but they are a grade boost.

Can't say he's the best math teacher I've had, but he's adequate and I'd recommend him. He has some funny moments, he seems to want his students to learn, and the tests are fair, the only issuee is he frequently makes mistakes when writing out notes and problems, make sure to check over notes and see that they make sense

He gives a lot of work. If you understand the material from the homeworks, passing is not a problem. However, the maple project is pain as my butt. Thoughtful test but fair! Nice and funny guy! I'd take him again.

One of the best teachers in that ugly math department. Maybe the best! Very helpful. Teaches clearly. Study with your peers. Tests tough. Gives good partial credit. You can still get an A with a low grade. I got the impression he curves at the end.

No idea what that last guy is about. If you do the work (yourself) and see him about questions on the assignments during office hours, he'll help you. Explains things clearly. Outstanding professor. Honest people have nothing to fear.
