I took her class online for a gen Ed credit and it was pretty dang easy. She sends out a lecture, some videos, and readings along with a quiz and discussion board post to do by a certain deadline. Usually that was twice a week. It wasnt hard but there was a lot of content. Shes a generous grader. but this was a 101 class so expect it to be easy.

I really don't care for Maureen or this course. I've unfortunately had multiple courses with her due to having a small department. Avoid taking her classes if you can. She has unrealistic expectations and is very vague about directions for assignments. The class was not stimulating or challenging at all.

Great professor who is super engaged in class. Her tests aren't easy but she's a fair grader. If you show up to class and do the homework, you'll be fine.

There are labs and readings throughout the semester which you need to keep up with that will be on exams. A lot of information is taught during this class and not all of the lectures are interesting. Not the worst class I've ever taken, but sometimes it was tough to stay awake. Keep up with everything before exams and make sure to study for them.

Dr. Hays is so nice and loves what she teaches. Make sure you study hard for the midterm and final and do all of the homework assignments and you will get an A. Class gets tedious after a while if you are not interested. Definitely recommend her as a teacher.

Very sweet woman, hardly ever takes attendance. Tests are easy and require minimal studying. DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK! She uses an online textbook thats $40 and tells u you will need it, but tests come directly from lecture notes - ive never used the ebook and made an A on every test. Just show up to class and take notes and you'll do fine

She is so sweet. She tries to be really helpful. Reading comes from an online textbook which is somewhat a pain, and the readings are extremely boring as are the powerpoint lectures. The material is not all that interesting, but her enthusiasm makes it bearable. She seldom takes attendance.

Great teacher! Make sure you attend class the day after a test so you can "argue" for points. Extremely reasonable & generally cool person.

Love love love Dr. Hays! Of course, she's scatterbrained as usual, especially since this class is taught entirely by articles. Take home essay final & the mid term was two in class essays. Group project - teaching class about a topic, easy A if work is done!

Very boring class. I hated it. Make sure to read or you are lost for the whole semester. There are only 6 graded items other than the midterm and final so make sure you make good grades on everything.

She is very helpful. Come anytime to her office and she will help you, and you could spend hours talking to her. If you do not understand, then wait until after the class and then ask for her help, and she will set up a time for you to come by.

Midterm & final were the only tests, then there were 5 labs & a library assignment. Class was interesting at times, but difficult because Dr. Hays is kind of scatterbrained & does not stay on subject (or cover all material on study guide)..but she is the nicest lady ever! If you're expecting an easy A or B you won't get it, but the class isn't bad.

I loved her! Her lectures are always very interesting, and you watch neat videos sometimes. Take her if you can. She always has an student teacher who does a couple lectures, which is cool too. She gives extra credit, but her tests are pretty hard. They're multiple choice, but you really have to study for them. Not much HW at all. She's sooo nice!

She's a really good, friendly professor. For archaeology, you only have a midterm and a final, which are fairly difficult, so study hard. She'll help you if you're in trouble, and ask for it, however.
