Comment:
Colton is a good guy. Class is weighted based on two exams and homework. I recommend him. His lectures are very clear and concise. He makes sure you understand the material. Exams like the homework. Study and you'll be fine.

Colton is a great professor who cares about his students. He will be extremely helpful especially if you go to his office hours. This class is pretty easy especially if you are an engineering major. 3 exams very similar to hw problems and 10% of your grade is hw. Only about 20 hw problems all semester.

Comment:
Easy class. Dr. Colton is an excellent teacher, but don't expect any real-life examples in his class. Too theoretical for engineering students. However, he is really nice (and funny) and he genuinely wants every single student to understand the material. Ask him to tell stories!

Comment:
Ask questions;it's all he wants you to do.If you do that then the class will be much easier. Office hours are very helpful, hw of moderate difficulty but pretty spaced out. Does plenty of examples but make sure you study everything and 'understand' the material, not just each problem because he will ask something different on the exam.

Easily the best professor that I've had in my two years at UD. His exposition is fantastic, his grading is fairly easy, and his knowledge is superb. He also will often tell stories that may or may not be related to class. Those stories may be the best part of class. Take PDE's with Colton. You will learn much and enjoy the class much more.

Had him for both 351 and 352. Best teacher for both those classes. Straightforward teaching, funny guy. Would recommend. Open book exams, homework about twice a month.

Simply the best teacher I have ever had. After leaving this class I had enough knowledge about the mathematics to PLAY with them. THAT is impressive. This guy ROCKS.

Good prof. Explains things pretty well (much better than the book), but occasionally goes into "lecture mode" and tells you about what you need to do to do well (gets kind of boring). Exams are almost exactly as expected (he tells you want to expect) and are open book, note, ect. Answers email promptly.

Overall good guy, is kind of a nerd who has trouble conveying the topic material in class sometimes. Very helpful if you ask him for it. Prompt in his responses to your e-mail. 351 is easy anyway.

Awesome guy. Very crazy and at times hard to follow but if you can get past his "colorfullness" he is really easy to understand. He honestly wants every one to get an A. Got an A with about an hour or 2 of studying before each test!

The most entertaining teacher who doesn't realize he is entertaining. He runs around the room, bites his tongue alot, and talks fast. Awesome teacher tho, so much better than Rossi (he subbed our class a few times). Really wants you to understand. Open book tests, can't really complain.
