Professor was a sweet heart. Super soft spoken. Due to covid class was online, and all midterm and final and homework was the same thing on a online program. Just one homework and one test bi-weekly. You have to really pay attention to lectures to understand the concept. Or teach yourself. But he only grades the homeworks and test online.

Worst professor i have had in my entire life, going to his class is completley pointless and uneffective. i reccomend avoiding taking his class at all costs. Very hard to understand becasue he speaks soft in class and will not help you if you are struggling.

literally the worst class I have ever taken. He does not do an effective job of teaching the material and just does questions all class without actually teaching how to do them. I would hold off taking this class to take any other professor instead of taking him.

The online tests were challenging but helped me learn and reinforce material, while allowing me to prove I understood the class concepts. The in-class tests, though, were a different story. Making a single mistake could cost you the correct answers on 3 or 4 of the 10 questions. These were brutal. I wish he curved them since the class did poorly!

He doesn't speak clearly a majority of the time so it's difficult to understand him as he almost whispers the lectures. If you ask a question, he doesn't really answer it well. As for the class, he doesn't explain well and what he discusses in class is not what he quizzes on. I honestly, go to class for the attendance and go home and teach myself.

Attendance is completely optional, which is really nice. In the beginning I would go to class, but I realized that just watching the videos online was more time efficient. The homework's are definitely time consuming, but I like how he ran his class overall.

I went to class one time. Everything is online and he taped his lectures should you choose not to go. Its definitely not an easy class and requires a few hours a week but he gives you more than enough info to succeed.

In the spring 2017 semester, Professor Ardalon changed his course so that it's all online using "Mindtap". This change is the reason why I decided to take him this past semester. All it really takes is about 3 hours a week of online work to get it done. Highly recommend buying Chegg Study and having a friend to do mindtap assignments with.

This semester (Spring '17), he used an online application called "MindTap" for all of his classes. 10 online hw's, 10 online tests, and that is ALL your graded on. He provides slideshows to help with the work, and the due dates for the work/exam are extremely fair. I went to 3 classes total, and I loved the way he ran his course.

Probably one of the worst professors I've had at Marist! If you're reading this post this is a warning I wish I had before I signed up for his class! More than half the class has an F or C average and he could really care less only a small percentage do well on quizzes because they just excel in the subject naturally. He's very hard to understand!

bad professor because doesnt really grade fairly. workload is unfair for one person to finish. groupwork isnt fair because this professor doesnt consider of the work of you did while your group members do not do the work you are expected to finish it while they still get the grade. not considerate. isnt helpful

Participate in the forums. Ask questions when stuck. Submit work on time. Read the textbook. Be prepared to work in a group. Exams are fair at the beginning of the semester (8 weeks course) but tougher towards the end. He is an easy grader.

Ardalan is an amazing teacher. He is very soft spoken and his English is hard to understand sometimes but you get used to it. You just have to pay attention to what he is saying in class and the quizzes won't be difficult. No midterm, no final, no papers, no group projects, no textbook. Just quizzes! Trust me it's worth taking the class with him.

Grade only based off of quizes. After every chapter there is a 10 questions quiz that are nearly impossible. He uses trick wording methods so you are guaranteed to get those questions wrong. Everyone in my class has a C or below and multiple have withdrew. Avoid. Also doesn't like being asked questions and won't help you if you are struggling.

You think it will be easy: nice man, doesn't check homework; decent lectures; but then you take a quiz. The whole semester is based on 9 quizzes. He often teaches the material that was on a quiz after you've taken it. They are ten question multiple choice quizzes and it is nearly impossible to get above a 70 or 80 on any of them. Impossible A.

Grade is only based on quizzes which are 10-15 MC each and they're VERY difficult. Doesn't use the textbook, quizzes are all based on notes you take in class but he is and at explaining things in class. Everyone in the class that I've talked to has nothing above a C right now. Doesn't consider attendance or participation

Terrible Professor. He looks bothered when you ask him questions. He is very confusing. Be ready to teach yourself this course. Gives hw and does not even grade it, which is bad because his quizes are terrible and that's all that your grade will be based on.

Syllabus is straight forward, refer to it all semester long. Prof is extremely helpful, don't hesitate to contact him. You will work in group starting the first week of class. Exams are fair, read the textbook. Do the homework on time, and comment when needed. Group paper is fairly graded.

Professor Ardalan is the worst professor I have ever taken at Marist. He is NOT willing to help students. I asked him to meet in office hours and he refused to help me. Will fail because of him and will be withdrawing.
