I don't even know if the man is aware what is happening in the class. All we did was watch d-b list movies and critique them, in a class that's required for an education major, I don't understand why. He was very strict on only communicating through his website, not Gmail/Gsuite. Sometimes it felt like he didn't even want to work there or be there.

I love this man. He is so caring and sweet, and he makes you think outside of the box. He's a bit quirky, and sometimes disorganized, but he's really a joy to be around. He teaches his best when his students are engaged, so if you take a class with him, be sure to contribute!

Comment:
Most confusing and disorganized professor I've had at Beloit. Several times he would give us an assignment that wasn't uploaded right. Mostly busy work. Doesn't like to email students and will ONLY message through Canvas. Often made students feel uncomfortable in class. Bill made me decide to drop an education minor. But drumming was kinda fun?

He misgendered me every day and I quite literally couldn't parse a single response question he assigned. If I could give him a zero I would.

I am so confused in this class. I have no clue what we are supposed to be learning. It's very new age type thinking. Sometimes we meditate in class. No clear grading system at all. Good luck.

Took INIT 220 and EDYS 152 with Bill...he's very disorganized and kind of all over the place with his lectures. Sometimes discussions can be very interesting, and sometimes they make you want to bang your head against the wall. Pretty easy going with deadlines, though.

Useless as an advisor and professor, does not believe in his students. His appearance and approach is unprofessional and not worth dealing with. Stay away from this professor as long as you can. Very poor quality, and uncooperative. I dropped my education major because of him. EDUC 271, 150,

Bill is a really nice guy, and he really likes other opinions and having discussions in class, but his class is seriously a joke. i feel like most people in his class have more common sense than he does. if you want to watch harry potter and get an easy A, take his class. If you want to learn stuff, don't.

He is really nice, and understanding, but highly unorganized. Plus, he really likes to rely on technology, which I am not a fan of, but over all I like him.

I stopped being an educ major b/c of this man. I don't think he's based in reality, but in some idealistic educational world

I was in his IDST class - he's not very organized, but he really gets you thinking, and he's very interesting. Great subject, but the students weren't always responsive. Unfortunately, a lot of people take advantage of the fact that he's lenient on grading. I think he's a take him or leave him type.

I like Bill a lot as a professor. I got a lot out of his class--caused me to declare education as my major. You get what you put into his class. You don't have to do the readings or show up, but you can learn a lot if you do.
