I can't express in a short blurb what a good professor Dr. McBeth is. His classes and assignments are actually a pleasure to attend. If you are interested in PolySci or Public Admin, do yourself a favor and take at least one of his classes. Might I suggest Intro and Policy Analysis. Bottom line: Highly Recommend!

Took Dr. McBeth for Intro to Politics in the Fall 2019. Amazing professor. Thoroughly looked forward to going to class every day. Participate in discussions in class to get the most out of his course. There was so much writing, however. Lots of essays, tests are all short answer essay questions, and a lot of writing assignments. Overall good class.

Dr. McBeth is not an easy grader at least with the grad students. I have taken three courses from him and he provides detailed feedback on all papers. I improved over time in his classes and you learn a lot. I have also never seen any graded group projects in his classes.

It is an easy A. But it is a fun easy A. Just do the work he assigns and you get an A. Not a tough grader.

So long you attend lectures, you will do well on his papers. The only down side of his class is that you have a paper (aprx 10+ pg) every two weeks. The papers and attendance are the only thing that counts.

READ OR YOU WILL DIE IN THE CLASS. I got behind in reading and REALLY struggled. The class is crossed listed, had 6 undergrads and aprx 34 graduates whom have taken a graduate policy class from him before. I felt like he taught to graduate students but I did survive!! He is an amazing professor but does write on the board and its hard to read.

Dr. McBeth's classes are ivy League with a small town mentality. This gentleman and scholar not only makes a rather boring class into something to remembered, but takes the time and patience to make sure "all" students are on par-onboard with the material. What a pleasure it was to be in this scholars class.

I've taken classes from Mark for 5 semesters in a row now. He is, by far, the greatest teacher I have ever had the privilege to learn from. In his class you will read and write alot, and, if you do not, the tests will be nearly impossible. However, if you do, his classes become easy. He teaches everything you need to grasp the subject.

Incredibly interesting approach to a class that could had been boring. Mixes teaching styles from lecture, to discussion to use of technology. Always brings in current issues to demonstrate the theory in the class. Outstanding.

Class was fun. I loved days where we got into groups and discussed things. We also got to watch a lot of documentary type movies. The only boring days were lecture but Mcbeth did a good job keeping the class engaged. Papers were easy, tests were easy. Great Professor.
