Comment:
Uses the most boring and mono-tone voice possible to "teach" an already boring and tough class. Hope you don't have any questions as she is the least approachable person ever. She has taught psyc 3015 for over 20 years and I expect her better years of teaching are behind her.

The fact that she wrote her own workbook for students she teaches (taking time away from her research) shows how passionate of a teacher she is. She is in her office early and leaves later than most other professors. Very approachable, kind, considerate and clear. The "homeworks" aren't graded - attempt them to HELP your learning. Much respect.

Best professor I have had in University so far. Stats is never a bird or fun course but she made the material very clear and taught students step by step. She is very approachable and wants her students to succeed. No complaints!!

I went into this class convinced I would fail and had no math skills and came out understanding statistics with an A+. Kennett is a phenomenal teacher and this class has changed the way I view my abilities. You do have to put the work in but considering there are no readings that is not much. If you do put in an effort you can learn stats :)

I hate stats but she made it accessible. She was very particular about punctuality and noise-control but I appreciated it because some students talk nonstop. And if you take the time to find her, she's awesome about helping you understand the material. Super tough class, but it's stats. Just have to deal with it. She's definitely in my good books!

I have had mixed feelings all along but in the end I am more for her than against. there is a lot of material for the course so it should be split into 2 lectures per week instead of 1 3hr. She is willing to help you if you're willing to put in the effort bc it is a very difficult course and you can't get by being lazy. TAs aren't always helpful.

Yes, it's statistics, it's a hard class. But she is very helpful, willing to work with students. It is very possible to get an A in this class with some hard work. She also put all the effort in to completely make the textbook herself when she could have just asked students to buy some generic one from the bookstore.

Dr. Kennett was very helpful and encouraging as a professor and thesis advisor. Eventhough her stats class was very demanding - it greatly prepared me for my Masters courses in statistics. Her TA was also available for stats help as needed.

Terrible prof. Doesn't clarify. Encourages dropping the class if you're not doing well (instead of offering her help and support).

Oh Kennett, what a love hate relationship. She is at a disadvantage for teaching stats, but i do feel that she was hard to approach for help, and basically dismissed my best efforts as not enough! I think she is a decent teacher as far as teaching stats goes, but i think she expects FAR too much from her students!!

She is at a disadvantage b/c she teaches STATS. she doesnt respond to emails, goes extremely fast over equations, and doesnt give good definitions. she does know how to re-explain things in different ways for those ppl who have problems. The class should not be 3hrs-she loses us after 1.5. Her tests are TOO HARD! I cry everyday over stats!

Not good at on the spot questions but ignores emails - so what are we to do? Spends the whole break helping students with a 90% average & ignores the lineup of students behind waiting to ask questions. Starts off very slowly, gets behind & then rushes through the difficult material. Your basic nightmare of a course!

Hard Marker. Ran out of time on the exam. Homemade textbook is helpful because you can follow along and work out the problems yourself. Not very approachable or helpful one on one.

She's a decent teacher in lecture, but I don't like their home-made textbook, and if you approach her individually for help or special consideration, she can be a real ****, regardless of how good a reason you have.
