Brother George was my favorite professor in college. He really helped improve my write. He also took the time to get to know me personally and keep in touch with me even finishing his class.

Comment:
I have found that his grading scheme is rather confusing and he seems to incorrectly grade many assignments. His assigned readings are long and rather tedious. He does not grant acceptance for missed classes due to medical issues and missing class will heavily harm your grade. Arriving even one min late after three times is also an absence.

I had Bro. George in the mid 1980s, two lit courses. But the lifelong lessons were in writing, in composition. "Fat paragraphs! I want to see fat paragraphs!" Thank you, sir, one PhD later and successful lifelong career involving writing in everything I do. I now have a very popular blog too. Fat paragraphs, yes sir. Thanks, George!

He said today in class that he only gives one A a semester in each of his 1318 culf classes. Papers require a lot of analyzation and preparation in advance. Turning in papers early is a bonus. He likes it when you visit him in his office.

Brother George is very passionate and enthusiastic about what he teaches. He is kind and assigns a variety of readings for every taste. Expect: fast pace (don't procrastinate), fun times in class, homemade cookies (really!),daily reading assignments, short notes (copy & study them!), R rated literature (take it lightly)! Don't expect: An easy A.

An interesting man but his assignments are terrible. He spends most of the semester that's supposed to be evenly split (short story/poety/drama) on poetry. Almost all of the lit in his class has blatant homo-erotic content, which is really funny but sometimes disturbing. He isn't very flexible on the assignments either. Take Julia Lock instead.

One of those rare professors who is both hugely intelligent and also a genuinely pleasant person to be around. His classes are fun and engaging, and it's always evident that he truly loves what he's teaching and wants you to love it as well. He's also a poet and quite a good one at that :)
