This was the most difficult class I ever took. I considered dropping it in the first few weeks but Bradshaw talked me out of it. Average on one of the tests was a 24%...that being said he is an incredible teacher. He will change how you learn and every class you take following this one will be easier because of it.

Have you ever seen the movie Dead Poets Society? I totally felt like I was taking a class from Mr. Keating. I just wanted to get up on my little pull-up half desk and follow my dreams...NOT! Don't take from him unless you want to die. He'd be a cool grandpa, though. I got an A- but really hated it. I did, however, learn that trees are made of air.

You will note that those who did not like Dr. Bradshaw did not do well. This class requires critical thinking skills! Here you will learn how to learn!

Bradshaw is condescending and sometimes rude. Don't get sick! I missed a few classes, never recovered, and he evinced a complete lack of understanding. Tests were the hardest I've ever experienced. Unless you are a member of the intellectual elite (even among the students at BYU) plan on getting a much lower grade than you usually do.

Dr. Bradshaw is the man. Granted, he is a tough teacher and you have to have some time to put into the class but he is by far the best teacher I've had at BYU. Just be willing to step out of your box but he will teach you about biology and life in general, not to mention the gospel! He rocks!

Dr. Bradshaw is actively trying to be a great teacher and it shows. His dynamic style keeps your mind alert and involved. The only reservation I have are all of the activities he had us do to evaluate the class (I assume for his research). The class was time consuming enough without those additional surveys. A few less of would have been nice.

This guy is a total nut. His tests were impossible and the TA's were lost as well. Do not take this class. I had a solid GPA until it came to this dang class. Dr Bradshaw is horrible he is rude and the worst teacher I have ever had.

Definitely my favorite biology class so far. His teaching style is a love it/hate it kind of thing. Those who hate it don't want to break out of the learn and regurgitate mode. It requires critical thinking beyond the basic knowledge you've acquired. You'll expand your analytical abilities and improve your learning techniques. Take him!!!

Never had a better professor! The class was hard, but if you're willing to learn more than just science, Dr. Bradshaw will make you a better person. Gave lots of his freetime to help me one-on-one. Very respectful to all students. My favorite. I would take the class again just to have him as my mentor.

Best professor I have ever had! Best class I have ever taken. I cannot believe how much I gained from his class. He does more to prepare you for bigger and better things than any other professor or class at BYU. Class requires effort, attendance, and participation. Do not hestitate to go see him in his office or talk to the TAs. They want to help.

Class is a joke. Labs are useless with assistants that are just as confusing as Bradshaw, find another teacher to take this class from.

Loved this class. Very hard but learned a lot. He gave interesting lectures, explained concepts well, and had good TAs to help students out. And even though he looks scary, he's very nice when you actually talk to him. Teaches critical thinking/problem solving which helps out a ton in later classes.

I get an A in most classes;I got an A in his. Have an open mind, and work very hard. Cares a ton, but can seem harsh. Besides bio, you'll learn boldness, critical thinking, advanced study skills, and a great deal about yourself and life. I recommend this class to anyone willing to work hard. Bio 120 is hard. So is Bradshaw. Possible, though.

DO NOT take the class from Bradshaw!! Impossible tests...pointless homework...helpless help sessions...lots of screaming...explore your options or face the wrath. The tests were more a test of your IQ, and statistics abilities. If you have a genius IQ you should be fine. Sit in the front row, go to Brad. rev. sessions, make sure he knows ur name!

Go ahead and take any class from him if you want a reason to rip your hair out. Hitler was more approachable, and poorly translated Japanese instructions printed with dust on smoke are easier to understand than his questions. Those of you working on translating the Dead Sea Scrolls in the dark might like his tests. All others, you've been warned.

Dr. Bradshaw was such a fun teacher! He was inspiring and entertaining. The class was easy (as long as you go to the help sessions to get all the answers to the take-home quiz which you have once a week), but his tests were super hard. They ARE graded on a curve, however, so it ends up being pretty fair. Plus, he uses colored chalk!

If you are for some reason planning on taking this class from Bradshaw which I highly do not recommend in the firsts place, my serious advice to you is to become his best friend. Sit in the front row, ask questions and make sure he knows your name. Class is based off a curve, so pretty much if he knows you and likes you you get an A. Best Advice.
