Comment:
The absolute worst tether that the sociology department at Pace has to offer. She holds no value for attendance, handing assignments on time, generally any work you put in academically she will not appreciate- they will count the same if they are a month late or on time. She is extremely anxious all the time and it is obvious to the class

Most boring professor I have ever had. She is all over the place and even though she knows what she is talking about, it still makes it hard to follow what she is saying. She is very uneasy and it makes the class uneasy too.

Really nice, the class was so interesting but it was a Monday morning and most students were super disrespectful. I felt bad because the class could've been even more awesome if other students cared.

She has reasonable expectations and understands our limitations. She requires 3 papers, one of which is dropped. Homework every week (reading+writing) which she grades generously. She literally hands you the final two weeks before it. She does speak a lot, but thats because no one participates frequently. Take this class if you can

I did not like her at all! She speaks for 3 hours straight, doesn't ask for feedback and then wonders why students don't speak. I took a similar course before so I thought it would be easy, I was wrong. You will really work for your grade in this class.

Professor Debrovner is extremely passionate and knowledgable in everything she teaches. She gives amazing advice and course help when you ask for it. She definitely isn't for everyone but if you can appreciate a professor who cares about their job and their students take her class. I am definitely taking more classes she teaches. Amazing woman.

Obsessed with her, shes an incredible professor and person. Shes definitely not for everyone though, she is a little weird but not in a bad way. She just really loves what she teaches. Probably my favorite professor at pace.

Very passionate, but very stubborn. If you disagree with her, she will feel a sense of threat and insult that breaks her down by the anxiety she is intensely vulnerable to. She's lenient with late assignments, but all over the place with context and emotionally unstable to the point where it's quite disturbing and just as distressing for yourself

She is very knowledgeable in the subject but does not translate that knowledge to anything comprehensible. The service learning is boring and annoying to do. It is time consuming and a college kid does not have enough time to volunteer for x amount of hours per week. She is lost in her own world and going off on tangents.

I took this class looking for an easy A and I heard this subject is interesting too, but I can't say I learned a single thing in this class. She is always all over the place. The midterm was incredibly hard. Tons of reading to do, but you can get away with not doing it. She is a lenient grader, let's you redo papers if something isn't right.

From what I hear, she's a great criminal justice teacher. Sociology, not so much. She often talks in circles and doesn't really cover the material well. However, she's a pretty lenient grader and lets you do corrections. She assigns a lot of reading but you don't really have to do it all as long as you skim

I have her so intro to sociology. She's nice and all but a bit of a scatterbrain. She makes us read a lot but doesn't relle go over wat we read. Too much group activities and no explanations or reviews. But she seems willing to help u and she is sweet.

Midterm was horrible including the review. But...she was very helpful. Didn't do so well on the midterm but still got a high final grade because did well on everything else. Loved the service work! Easy to talk to and engages the class in discussions.

WORST CLASS EVER! Felt lost the entire semester. Felt more like a criminal justice course then a sociology class. Talked in circles and when it came to the midterm didn't feel the least bit prepared. Had a better time at my service learning then in class. Unless your into law and such DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF!! Def is ruining my GPA.

DULL DULL DULL. She seems invested in the subject matter, but it doesn't translate into making her lectures interesting. She talks in circles and goes off on boring tangents that don't relate to the class material. I felt like every minute I spent in her class was time wasted.
