Most classes he just stands in front and talks about whatever you were supposed to read for the entire class. Acts like students just automatically know what abstract poems and Shakespeare is saying. Only 3 essays and a few short assignments so the workload isn't terrible.

I have taken both Reber's ENG 100, and ENG 211 courses at Canisius. Reber was a great professor, and tirelessly helped improve my writing skills beyond measure. I'd recommend Reber to anybody, but would warn them ahead to show up on time everyday.

Reber's definitely knowledgeable about his field and will help you become a better writer. Lectures are extremely dry and monotone and he'll spend time in class correcting the grammar in the textbook. Lots of peer reviews. Come to class and put a little effort in and you'll get an A.

He's an easy grader and will be good to you if you pretend you care and come to class. Sometimes he can be a little over concerned about little things like where you were when you skipped class, or talk to you on the side because you didn't try hard enough on a draft. It can get annoying but overall, its all about the effort you put in.

Decent teacher, but extremely monotone. Grades fair, just wastes a lot of time in class cause he doesn't know how to work the computer. Overall good guy and will help with papers if you ask for it.

Lot of essays. Grammar, punctuation assignments. He's chill when you talk to him during office hours for papers. You get a better grade. Don't skip class or he'll hate you.

An ok professor he assigns a lot of papers. Also he requires that you print a lot of papers for peer review (which is annoying). The guy does know his stuff about essays though.

While a quirky, dorky, and dry-humored guy, he definitely knows what he's talking about when it comes to grammar and rhetoric. I took his varieties of the Essay class, so of course there were tons of papers; however, the practice has made my writing more concise and has turned writing a 4-6 page paper into nothing.

Moderately easy; read 2 books and did about 5 papers, a term paper, random short assignments, and outside reading of articles. Quizzes on readings and class discussions. For papers, he is willing to meet outside of class and deeply analyze and go over your draft with you. Meeting with him to work on papers is the key to an A in this class.

It's hard to describe. His classes are enjoyable and sometimes crazy. The assignment are reasonable and of moderate difficulty. I took Money and I, which cover finances and the economy. The books we read were very good. Although very entertaining, he is quite scatterbrained and easily confused and distracted. All in all, i would take his again

Class on SF: awesome ! The novels he has us read are very easy and enjoyable, the teacher encourages discussion with students and their ideas. He is passionate and knows a lot about SF. I didn't know anything about SF but if you just read the assigned stories, you'll do just fine in class!

Dr. Reber is a little strange. He seems to hold favorites but I earned an A through getting good grades through tests and quizzes. His quizzes were to see if you actually read, but they can be tricky and some of the reading is stale and boring. I don't think I would take him again, but that was just me.

For the science fiction class TR was a nut case but sorta funny. You can sparknotes the reading assignments. You watch a lot of movies and he is pretty fair when it comes to grading. Just show up and make an attempt to atleast **** an answer to questions
