While he does have a fairly monotone voice, but if you watch his lectures at 1.5x speed it makes it really easy. If you just take decent notes and study them for his exams you'll pass no problem. I understand that he doesn't use a lot of visual aids for his lectures, but he has them recorded and easily accessible. He's a really great professor 5/5

Love him!! History 2001 was a very interesting class and he made it even better. He's a very funny guy and makes little jokes along the way. He doesn't have any notes for his lectures, he just talks and provides some maps for reference. I can see how some may not enjoy this class, but I definitely did. Can't wait to take another class with him!

Professor Epplett talks all class and only uses maps as reference. Unfortunately his voice is very monotone and boring to listen to for a full hour. People who enjoy visual learning from PowerPoints and notes would not do well in this class. He knows the material but I do not think his classes are engaging or interesting enough.

Professor Epplett is great. I highly recommend his classes and he really knows his information. His classes are very lecture heavy, but if you show up to class and pay attention you will do really well.

Chris is a great prof. His classes are only lectures with maps shown on the screen. It's an easy A if you put in the effort to listen and study.

Chris displays an obvious passion for history and shares funny anecdotes about history. He uses powerpoints to show maps, not for notes. All of his lessons are done lecture style, so be prepared to take lots of notes. There is one major essay throughout the class. for the midterm and final he gives you a list of terms that could be on the exams.

Awesome prof! Made lectures funny and worth it. As he stated it "story time with Uncle Chris". If you paid attention in lectures and study the key terms he gives, you will do well. Prepare your paper way before the deadline! Always available to help. Super chill and awesome to talk to if you have questions. Would certainly take his class again!

This was my third class taken with Professor Epplett! Get ready to write a lot of notes, but his lectures are always funny and very interesting. His tests were very clear, no surprises as long as you studied. I would recommend his classes to anyone!

Chris is really clear with test and assignment expectations. He usually has a list of study terms for each exam. Slides are almost entirely pictures and maps, so you need to make your own notes. Please laugh at his really terrible puns!

If you aren't a quick note-taker, god help you, because he moves quickly through his lectures. But otherwise, he's a good professor. His classes are interesting, he regularly has a board full of important terms by the end of a lecture, and he's very clear about expectations. Your grade is essentially proportional to how much you care about passing.

Chris is definitely one of the best profs I've had at the Uni. Wonderful teaching style, easy marker, and willing to help. His awkward mannerisms make him all the more hilarious. If you love history, take his classes. You won't be disappointed.

Chris' classes are always enjoyable. He is very thorough in his lectures, but his exams are always straight forward. He always gives a list of terms before a midterm/final and his exam format is always the same. Highly recommended, no surprises!

He is a great professor. Gives out a study guide prior to the midterm and the final so you know exact what is on the test. He also is a easy marker and tells lots of jokes in class. only downside is that you write notes all class, although that is to be expected in a history class. would take a class again with him
