Lance is a great professor. There is a little bit of homework, but as long as you don't wait last minute, you'll be more than fine. He grades very fairly, even allows for extra credit here and there. Tests are way easier than the reviews. Goes a little slow, which worked out great for me because calculus is a hard subject. Also a funny and cool guy

He's an awful grader. He doesn't grade anything in a timely manner. For exams, he doesn't give any good feedback despite having us do a second draft, so you don't even know how to correct the mistakes. He doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner either, so that is no help at all. Awful professor I don't recommend him.

I got a C because I lacked on homework but I always Aced tests. It isn't that hard if you take notes and pay attention. The tests are open notes and that helps a lot. I feel like if you have to take a math class this isn't a bad choice! It also applies to real-life situations a little as well.

He gives so much homework per week yet refuses to grade it in a timely manner. He doesn't answer email questions and he is not very helpful during lectures either. I would never take him ever again. Worst class of the semester.

He is an alright teacher but he is not very thorough. He also takes a really long time to grade assignments so you don't actually know your grade. He gives tons of homework per week. I do not recommend this professor at all.

Excellente professor! Would take it again. He is so nice and cracks some joke out of nowhere. There is a lot of homework but paying attention helps a lot. Other than that, would recommend it.

Terrible. Do not take him even if your good at math. I took online Finite Math. The course load for each week is overwhelming and very demanding. - The weekly assignments take 5 or more hours. - We are expected to teach ourselves everything - Doesn't provide feedback -emails back at midnight the day the assignments due. Overall, Do not take!

The worst part about him was that he replied to my emails at midnight and we had to buy the homework. He goes a bit slow tbh but it's great if math is hard for you. He has nice dry humor. Most exams you can use notes on. He's a good guy.

Lance is such an incompetent professor. He doesn' know what he is doing and does the problems wrong and has to go back and redo them and sometimes they are still wrong. Very confusing. He will mark off your homework even when you are right and makes up an excuse to dock off your points. He didn't grade anything until after the final exam.

Lance Lana does not give you any time to study or prepare for your exams. Nor does he consider giving you any time as he requires you to turn in written and online assignments that take up way more of your time. He also requires all the homework due at the same time and uses new material studied the week of the test on the test.

I took this professor for MATH 1070. He is a good professor. If you just put in the decent amount of time as a diligent student should you will have no problem passing the class. Exams are a little tough but still manageable.

Lana is a great professor! His lectures were a little boring but he took each unit slowly and clearly explained problems to where I could easily understand. There was a lot of homework assigned but make sure to do it because it will help on tests. His exams were easier than the reviews and graded fairly.

His lectures were kinda boring since his voice is very monotoned, but he's a really good professor. He teaches the concepts very well and slowly where everyone (or at least I) can understand. He does assign HW every week, but it is do-able. I probably had more math HW than the HW he assigned in HS. Also the exams were always easier than the review

I took Lance for pre-calc. He is an okay professor but I cannot say I would take him again. He is a nice guy but it seems he is just going through the motions. Pros: He is funny, he teaches every step of the problem. Cons: He is somewhat boring, reviews don't always reflect the exams, lectures are a regurgitation of chapter, gives a lot of homework

Probably the most dry and terrible professor I have ever had. You have both written and online homework every week that don't reflect what you learned in class. The only way I was able to pass is to hire a tutor that went back and showed me the real way to do this math. Lana makes it so much harder than it needs to be. STAY AWAY!

If you actually want to understand the material you're learning, don't take a class with Lana. He is one of the worst math teachers I've had. He doesn't seem to know the material even when he's trying to teach it to the class. You will get assigned a lot of homework two nights before its due and then get graded harshly.

He's uncomfortable with students coming to his office hours. Yes, I know about the tutoring center, but I want help from YOU. Gives a lot of HW, and sometimes not until 2 days before it's due. For a "business" algebra class there is no relation to business. The final project about the national debt is stats not business. Very dissapointing teacher.
