Comment:
Maby was a good teacher for circuits. Lectures can get boring but as long as you practice problems and study the slides it is pretty easy to get an A in this class. Labs are super annoying...

Don't take Maby if you actually want to learn the material... He shows no passion for teaching and explains everything in the vaguest way. When students ask him questions, he answers in the most minimal way and talks in a "why don't you understand" tone. Honestly the worst professor I've had. If anything I only learned because of the TAs.

Fully adequate professor. I think everyone felt pretty confused before test review day but, as other reviews have mentioned, he really clarifies things well so the tests end up not being terrible. He seems unapproachable but is willing to help if you are persistent/patient. Was semi-shocked to get an A, zoom transition may have boosted the curve

Maby is definitely not the best professor I've had, but certainly not the worst. Be sure to find upperclassmen who've taken the class (academic clubs like IEEE are great) as many of the members have previous exams and homeworks that are incredibly helpful to prepare for midterms/exams. Study in groups/go to TA office hours and you should be fine

best way to learn is by googling instead of maby. there are ppl who have past exam problems, so try to find them asap. learn pspice so you check ur bootcamp. hw be bad sometimes even the undergrad TA cant help you. beware that some machines and components are in bad condition so be patient. if you like short lectures, maby maby the way to go for u.

hw be different from lecture. google and electronicsws is your best friend. if you have friend with past problems, befriend them. many machines in studio arent calibrated and many electric components are bad so you may have to go through several rounds. he seems not to care about making the course better. learn spice so you can check your bootcamp.

Maby didn't show much interest in the class as he went missing for a few weeks after assigning the project. I would ask questions at office hours and he would look at me as if I were stupid. The TA was the main reason I did well in the class. Be sure to have a CourseHero account, it will come in handy.

He told us what will be tested specifically and give practice problems accordingly, which is a huge plus. I got 100/100 on both midterms as the tests look similar to the practice problems. Project is very tedious.

The professor rushes through lectures and problems so that he can go home early. Gave us a project and he rarely to class for three weeks. Seemed annoyed if students asked questions.

There is no good choice with the professors for EE202, none are good. Burke usually uses similar questions for the exam as the ones practiced in class, but Maby's exams are relatively harder. many students have all the exams from previous years and some even have exams from past 7 years and it's easy A for them, which is not fair for the rest!!

Professor Maby is not the best teacher when it comes to EE. I was thoroughly confused throughout most of the class and wished concepts were made more clear. On top of that, he is not a very approachable person and was available in limited amounts outside of class. If you can take it with someone else, I would.

not too much good or bad, he will help you if you talk to him. Do the problems in class when he gives you time to do them.

He's a pretty helpful teacher for the most part. A nice guy, but a few times he gets pretty irritated. The Guitar project is fun if you have a decent partner. His homework don't have much to do with what he's lecturing so you learn on your own. Midterm isn't that bad, open notes and based mostly off homework. Be prepared to do a lot of self-work

Gotta be prepared to do some work since it's engineering class. He teaches the subject very well. If you don't follow, ask him. The overall course is not difficult however the lab may take little longer than doing homework. Last project which is making guitar is extremely fun at the same time, it is very important portion of your grade. Fight on!

Professor Maby is entertaining, his class is dynamic (studio style, projects like building an electric guitar), and he's very helpful during office hours. He brings a lot to the table as a professor.

So Cool. Go to his Office hours if your having a problem with the Homework. He basically gives you the answer. The projects in the class are the best part, that and his stories about school (hilarious). Totally recommend taking this class.

I took both classes, then TA'ed both classes. Kinda eccentric, but knows his stuff. Fun times with electricity during class, keeps the boredom away. Exams are super easy, he basically tells you the questions beforehand, plus open notes.
