He had us using a difficult site for work. He never responds to you on GroupMe or email. Had test and quiz on different time zone. Eastern time so if you did not do work before 10:59 p.m New York time you missed it. You mite have 3 quiz due then he adds 9 more for that same day! This Professor is so unorganized.

Intro to microeconomics was an easy credit and interesting. I took the class as a dual credit student and a high school junior, and the class was manageable. Professor Shilling always responded within a day of my email and he is understanding. Online, you learn through the textbook, not lectures. Tests are vital and make sure to read the textbook.

This course was an experience. I do give him an extra star because he was able to let me retake an exam I missed and that was very helpful. What I didn't like was the amount of work he gave us, especially if you take other classes that require several assignment. His test were 70% our grade and that brought my grade down to a B. You choose.

If you want to pass fairly, I would not recommend this professor. We had to use a site that was difficult to access, and he was not specific on his lectures. His time management was poor, as so was his topic instructions. Therefore, I would not recommend this professor to those whom want to take Macroeconomics. Think about it critically.

Took Macroeconomics with Professor Shilling in an online eight week course. If you read the textbook and complete the homework you'll be alright. There's 5 exams, four over each "section" and one final exam. The exams weigh heavily so its important to do good on them. At the end of the semester he allows you to write a paper for 5 extra points.

I took his class for a Maymester & he was on vacation the whole time. If there was a problem, he couldn't fix i. He would barely reply to my emails & if he did, it could take days. I requested my transcript a couple of days ago & the grade on it for his class was wrong but he won't email me back & I've been emailing him for over 2 weeks now.

It was a May-mester class. The same amount of chapters and exams jammed into two weeks. The entire course was awful, he was not helpful, he even messed up and gave us an exam on chapters we hadn't covered yet. I would have to ask him before every exam if he could open the quizzes for review because they were locked due to the way he had it set up.

The highlight of my experience taking Mr. Shilling online course is that he was very understanding if there were any issues with trying to complete an assignment. He is very reasonable and a great professor honestly. In fact, his emails about an exam being posted was very helpful.

Took this class for dual credit in the summer: work load is super heavy if you have a life, this class isn't for you. 3-4 things due every other day and textbooks run for at least 70 dollars... The class isn't on Ecampus, it's on this weird, hard-to-use website that makes no sense. It's very frustrating, but if that's your thing, then hey, do you!

I took his class online for Dual Credit and it was difficult but manageable. It was a lot of work but you know the due dates ahead of time so if you don't procrastinate you should be fine & make sure to study on your own - you get out of it what you put into it. Overall I enjoyed the class and the material and he responds to his emails quickly.

Professor Shilling can give you a university level understanding at the community college rate. He does a magnificent job at making the material EXTREMELY simple. I studied abroad at the London School of Economics, his teaching skills assisted me in competing with classmates that attend schools such as Oxford, Yale, Duke. Take him!

Professor Shilling is a great individual. As long as you invest weekly time in the course an A is reasonably possible. He does a great job connecting the material in an applicable approach. Don't expect easy A's from anyone, asking questions and showing sincere interest in the material will reap a great rate of return.

Dual-Credit students this is a tough class, had it online. The homework are easy, its the test that are killer. They are worth 70% of your grade. this class is an easy class to fail!! He offers extra credit essay 5 points to final average. I ended up with 90 only to that essay and im smart. highschool students beware! if U are not smart DONT take!

Mr. Shilling is a great teacher. He gave extensions on assignments if there was a legitimate excuse and helped out with questions on topics. Be ready to learn about the economy and macroeconomics. He sometimes flys through the chapter so make sure you have the powerpoint on your phone or device during class to take extra notes you missed.

Economics can be a hard course for many people, however this professor does an outstanding job in presenting the material in a way students can relate. The tests can be challenging. Reading and studying the material will be required if one wants to get an A in this class.
