I didn't really attend any classes, and he was still super welcoming. I asked him so many questions and he didn't make me suffer or point me out. He also incorporated a podcast system for 3CL4, which was super helpful. I would say that his lectures and his slides are abstract. I would suggest to go thru the past tests he posts, and understand them.

Lectures are decent, but he dances around the point for most of the lecture. He goes out of his way to spite students who miss classes by leaving out important details in slides, then sets up tests to require that information. Ironically, his own attendance at tutorials was far from perfect, and TA he chose to take his place was ineffective.

A decent professer. He is fair, besides offering a challenging course. His tutorials is a must go to. Pre-labs are important especially the last two. The root locus question on final involves complex pair, so know how to deal with it, a real stumbler... Final is tough, so buckle up for it.

Really good prof. Worth attending all his lectures for sure. His tests could seem hard to a lot of people but they are fair game. If concept unclear go to office hours.

Truly excellent professor: Smart, crystal clear, well prepared, well organized, helpful. His tests are not easy by any means (more than 60 students failed his class) but he is fair. Those that failed, deserved it.

I had Dr Davidson for 2CI5, 2CJ4, and 3CL4. Even though his tests are extremely hard, he is one of the best professors at Mac. He is always willing to help you (one on one), is very clear presenting topics in class, and is straight forward when laying out his expectations of you. ECE is a hard subject, so don?t expect to do nothing and pass.

One of the most caring profs at McMaster. His reputation is true in regards to being a really hard prof, but he make sure you understand the material. If you do not deserve to pass, you will not pass. Very influential. He fortifies my desire to become an Electrical Engineer. Thank you Dr. Davidson

Davidson is no doubt one of the nicest and coolest prof I have ever had in my life. He has immense respect for everybody. I remember I went to him to ask for a reference letter for an internship. He gave me around 30 min & later on sent me info on various companies. Very helpful and very caring. The only problem is that he might be hard for some.

VERY VERY HARD PROF. legendary in ECE as the hardest prof ever. BUT... he makes sure you learn. if it was not for him Mcmaster would not have good electrical engineers graduating. his tests and midterms are EXTREMELY HARD. The fail rate for this course is around 35% when he is teaching. he makes sure you know everything inside out/ nice guy though.

2CJ4 Tests are challenging, two 50 minute tests, first test average 37%, second 54%, (see year 2006 test stats) the failure rate for this class is quite high ~24%, but the engineering dept allows students who fail this course to continue to third year (they waive third year prerequisites that need 2cj4) as long as you make up for 2cj4 in third year

Davidson is an awsome teacher, very clear in speaking and nice. If you are failing and mad at him, it's your fault..not his, so get out of Cj5. The university can't pump out 400 elec engies a year. Anyways, Davidson is a good prof, not the best sense of humor, but I laugh at his accent anyways.
