I've had him as a professor twice, and I just don't understand him. I can't read his handwriting and he has a heavy accent. I didn't learn anything in class and the lectures are useless for me. I also failed a lot of the written homework, but I have no idea what I did wrong and he didn't give any feedback.

The content itself is easy, the lectures come from online videos and they're simple to follow. There's not much interaction with the professor, and the course felt like an online class. It's an easy class if you put in the work.

I took this class for summer 2 and he wasn't the best at explaining the information. This class was very fast-paced and he didn't give any time to write down notes. There is also a ton of hw assigned. His tests were hard and were not similar to the examples given in class.

Lots of homework but if you understand how to work out each problem you will do fine on the exams. The projects were confusing so just ask for more details over them when he assigns them. Lectures were helpful but not necessary for some concepts. If you are looking for an easy A this is the class to do it in since this professor is great.

I was really dreading taking this class from everything I had heard, but Dr. Liu made it easy to understand. I usually use PatrickJMT or other resources to teach myself but the lecture notes were enough for the class. His exam reviews are also very specific and you should know pretty much exactly what to expect on exams.

Dr. Liu was able to take a difficult subject and explain its concepts in a clear way by using physical objects and applying them to real world applications. He made a basically boring subject interesting, and really cared about his students understanding the subject matter.

Extremely clear lectures. He covers exactly what you need to know to pass the exams. He gives you roughly 5-8 problems a week with half being matlab problems. He gives you the code for how to do the computer problems in class and tells you to snap a pic. The exams cover exactly what he says they will. No formula sheets.

Nice guy. He is reserved, but funny. If you need help he is available. Like any professor, if you go to class and do your homework you can get an A. Took Cal 3 during the summer. Homework was due Tu/Th, usually 20-30 problems. How he grades for summer (% wise): Homework/Test1/Test2/Final 20/20/20/40.

Liu is very chill maybe because it was summer, he knows what he's teaching, very knowledgeable, grading was not harsh, always fair with partial credit. Homeworks were long, but it's differential, so its not a coincidence. Overall a good class, hoping for an A.

The best math professor I've taken at UNT, and as a math major, I've had plenty of them. Show up to class, take notes, do all the homework problems, go over your notes each day, and you'll get an A. Tests are straighforward. If you can do the homework, you can do the tests. He's extremely generous with partial credit. Cannot recommend him enough.

He is a very nice guy. Tests are only about 5 questions and reflect notes and hw. This class can be as easy or difficult as you choose. Take ALL notes, do homework and you should be fine. He does not give any reviews and just says to go over class examples. Compared to other teachers, his tests are not too bad ...just be ready for lots of YES or NO

Gives partial credit on tests. Exams reflected questions on the homework and notes. Had some tricks for solving problems that weren't in the book. A nice guy with a sense of humor..."If you can't do foil method by now, GO HOME." Show up to class, take notes, do your homework correctly, and you should be fine. Recommended.

Dr. Liu is an outstanding professor. He has a genuine interest in your grasp of the material and makes sure you get it before moving on. Definitely more interested in how well he teaches the material than how much. Never rushes through things. I'm an engineering student and this is the first time I've gone into every math exam with no worries.

Although He is a good professor... he sometimes is hard to understand. The class is tough....A LOT of hw is given and the tests are literally like 5 questions...but parts a,b,c,d and if you make a mistake on one part of the problem, then you pretty much miss the whole question. I wouldn't recommend taking this class.

He's a nice guy and does his best to explain everything, but for someone who isnt good at math like me, it's a hard class. He gives alot of homework. His tests aren't extremely hard, but alot of the class couldn't finish them on time. But if you are good at math you should do well.
