Prof. Nickels is a very kind man. His lectures tend to be a little long and the info. is different than your average class (which I liked) but many didn't. Read the notes, and pay attention to lectures and you should do well. Prof. is very helpful!!! This is one of the easier courses I've done.

His lectures are really interesting, and are useful in his tests. He's a good lecturer, I don't know that I would jump at the chance to take another class with him, his tests are harder.

I really enjoyed his lecture...they were interesting! However the tests are really hard!!! I too ended the course with a C+ which for me is low!!!

he's a nice guy but his exam questions were either ridiculous or just plain hard to understand. i'm an A student and i studied my butt off on this class and i still ended up with a C+.

if you are taking this class as an elective, save your self a horrible mark or $300 tuition. the last rating was in 2005...i dont know if this guy become super hard in a year or what, but he is a horrible prof with the most stupidest test questions..Learn from someone else mistake...DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!

vibrant and funny man, kind to students and ready to help. gives his home#!. The concepts are abstract and may be difficult to grab. Tests are hard to gauge your performance in. The most reading of course material I've ever required. Interesting subject.

1 of the best prof's I've ever had. Dedicated to accuracy & details. If you don't get a direct answer to your question, it's because there isn't one & and he recognizes alternative possibilities. Highly knowledgable & sensitive to individual rights & the university policies that back them.

Nice guy, classic teaching style. Taken two of his courses and both were involved a ton of material to cover so be prepared. Tests are pure multiple choice but I found them to be fair and not to difficult as long as you knew your stuff.

while he may say funny things in class, don't ask questions you want answers to. he doesn't really answer them. not flexible or understanding to students with invisible disabilities... basically if you don't look disabled, then according to him, you aren't... hmmm ... not so cool. one of the worst

class is sort of interesting, but tests are hard because the questions are vauge and highly subjective. doesn't give straight-forward answers to student questions/objections. i found the "wizard of oz" lecture to be very misogynistic.
