Comment:
Gordon was a good prof. I didn't find his lectures that helpful. I relied on the textbook, his tutorial questions, and the textbook study guide to do well. His class is 100% test-based but his exams are very fair and actually easy if u understand the concepts instead of memorizing stuff.

Took the course because of his rating, but found that there was no additional benefit from the Office Hours that replaced the 2 hour lecture time on myschedule. Prof is encouraging and obviously cares that his students succeed. Office Hours are helpful if you have questions. Otherwise, take good notes of the text and use the practice questions.

Spring21 remote. Stopped listening to his pre-rec audio lectures, painful to listen to since he doesnt incl. slides with it. Youd have to play slides yourself & make sure the page youre at matches where hes at. Perhaps has no time to learn tech. TA Hannah Reid is excellent, the best TA Ive had. Only 3 tests & final, no asmt. Final was tough.

He is a fun professor, the class would have been better in person but I really enjoyed it. just study his tutorial questions and skim through the textbook for topics you don't understand. The applications in his lectures were very interesting!

Gordon's lessons are all prerecorded but for whatever reason, he only records his mic and doesn't record the PowerPoint with it so you kinda have to open the audio and slides separately and guess when he moves on to the next slide. He also decided to not curve the class at the end of the semester which was unfair since everyone was expecting a curv

You are basically teaching yourself in an online class with professor Myers. His classes are extremely unorganized and he goes on about things that have nothing to do with the class. I would highly recommend not taking this course with him.

Gordon is a great prof for this class. Lecture slides are straightforward, but the textbook helps if you need more context. I didn't buy the extra study guide. When we had a glitchy exam, he didn't blame us and gave individuals the choice to keep or discard our grade on it. Go to office hrs if you are worried about exams, he is reassuring.

Gordon did a poor job of switching to online class in the spring of 2020. He changed the grading scheme from being curved to not being curved at the very end of the semester, which was extremely unfair to students.

I really appreciated Professor Myers, everything he taught seemed so deliberate and carefully thought out, which made it palpable to understand in an introductory economics course. Taking his class while school moved online because of corona, he showed he cared by telling us that everything will be okay eventually. He seems like a really nice guy.

Honestly, his lectures are pretty bland, but if you care about learning about economics then he can be interesting. He reads off the slides and likes to drag explanations out. Also, his handwriting is horrible and was barely legible. His exams were pretty easy and some of the questions from the tutorials were there (which I recommend going to).

Gordon was a good prof. His exams consisted of 2 term tests and 1 final exam. His 1st term test was SUPER easy but his next two tests were quite hard-- he is open and encourages you to reach out for help if you need it though. Teaching wise he is good but can go fast someone. Overall good prof, does talk about Trump a little which is annoying.

Econ 103 is easy in itself, but Meyers made it even easier! The questions on the exams are the same (literal copy paste) of tutorial questions, and he'll tell you this so believe him. Aside from that, a little too much orange man bad talk in his lectures

He is a good teacher and cares about his students a lot! The class has been easy so far and exam material is exactly what is covered in tutorials and textbooks if you do the readings and tutorial questions. However, lectures cover the exact same notes from the textbook so it can be boring and does not give much incentive on coming to lectures.

Gordon is an extremely boring prof; however, his exams are fair and if you need extra help he is willing to help. As long as you read the textbook and do the questions from the study guide you will do well on the final and on the midterm.

You can definitely skip out of his lectures, it's useless. All you have to do is read the textbook, but the final is extremely hard!
