Comment:
Dr. Hayworth is knowledgable, however is lectures were all read off of a paper and were very boring. I got a great grade in the class because of the fact that I have taken this class in High School before but if you take his class and do not learn the material on your own you will struggle.

Asynchronous online (due to Covid). 4 quizzes with open notes and 6 essays on IMF articles (provides essay samples for style & format). "Lectures" are word docs, no videos or power point. No feedback or class discussions. Interesting content, easy class overall, but zero interaction. Responds emails quickly, fast grader, no final exam.

Asynchronous class. Kind of a joke online, take a few quizzes using the notes. Write a paper every other week on an IMF article. Grading is all over the place, no feedback. Overall, meh.

Dr. Hayworth is the nicest professor. The class is very informative and you can get a really good grade thanks to his lenient grading. Exams are easy and you get a tons of help to study. Take him if you can!

You get a whole sheet of paper as a cheat sheet on exams. He does 2 exams and "3rd exam" is made up of all quizzes. Follow lecture and you will pass.

He only grades based on 3 exams and 3 assignments. Though he is very knowledgeable, he is very lecture heavy and this is not my type of learning style. He bases all exam on his lectures so attendance isn't mandatory, it basically is. He is very nice, just super boring and it's hard to get through the class.

Hayworth makes 411 easy. There is no reason you shouldnt pass. There are problem sets (mathematics) every week or so and you can use a note card to aid yourself through. On the exam days, make sure you thoroughly read the lectures, and articles. He allows one page of notes on exams (front and back for final exam). Youll be fine!

Hard exams, which sucks because there are no assignments other than exams. His exams are over things he doesn't really cover at all on the slides and they are just things he randomly mentions. He does allow a handwritten note card for every exam but they are still difficult. I would avoid this class if possible.

He's very caring of his students and you can see him in his office any time (not just office hours). He explains all the things you need to know for the test, and also lets you use a note card. He doesn't even require a book because he knows they are expensive. If you just pay attention in class you will do great! Overall he's a good teacher

It was alright. Kinda boring. Grade is based on a few exams, so don't mess one up. Exams weren't terribly difficult. If you miss, notes are on Canvas, which is helpful.

Steven loves economics. He takes the time to explain every little detail ad nauseam (I think he thinks everyone in the class doesn't have common sense/is kind of dumb). I have skipped a lot of classes and done just fine. I have one of the best grades in the class. If you take advantage of the index card he allows in exams, you'll be fine!

Professor Hayworth can be a little plain at times, and everything he goes over in class is online, but i find it better to go to class. He can answer questions, as well as, give hints to what is on the tests. There is only 3 tests to make up your grade, but he curves it. Can be boring to sit through, but he lets you use a notecard on the tests!

Comment:
For the envi students, there is a serious disconnect from economics knowledge. For the econ students, there is a disconnect of envi knowledge, and hayworth does a horrible job of bridging these gaps, leaving everyone confused, frustrated, and with poor grades. DO NOT TAKE. He barely understands what is going on, and poorly explains the material.

Professor Hayworth was an outstanding professor. He keeps the material simple and easy to understand, as it should be for a gen-ed class. There are 3 tests and that make up the final grade, but he allows you to bring a 4x6 notecard to each exam. Come to class and listen and you should do fine. I would definitely take him again.

Professor Hayworth is great. Yes its lecture heavy and the material isnt that exciting, but its a theory class and thats to be expected. Calculations are mostly separated out into quizzes. Test questions are straight from lecture which are all on canvas. Lets you use a page of notes. No textbook necessary.

Graded only on 3 exams. Doesn't really care about students. Lectures slides are available on canvas and he just reads from them in class and adds a little more information during class. Overall, the class is okay not too easy and not too hard. Does not offer extra credit or other assignments. Exams are curved based on highest person grade

class consists of 3 exams. exams are curved which is nice so a C is a B and a B is an A etc. lectures are him reading off the notes which are online but it helps to come to class to hear examples. textbook is online but you can get an A w/out ever looking at it. Allows a note car with info for test. Overall good prof, no surprises on tests.

well he is an econ professor if you find a way to stay awake during his lecture you will pass, because he takes questions from his test from his lecture, also good is notes are online and gives cheat sheet for test

No doubt he knows what he's talking about and it is a lecture. He essentially just reads from the notes that are always available on canvas. The class should be an easy A unless you go into it expecting to just guess on the exams. There are only 3 tests in the class and THAT'S IT. Each thest is 1/3 of your grade and each test is over 1/3 of course.
