Dr. Crouse is probably as good as you will get with a difficult subject like organic chemistry. I had him for both semesters. I found his lectures generally easy to follow, and he is an interesting person with interesting stories as well.

Organic Chem is supposed to be difficult but I personally did not like his lectures and his tests were too long. Be prepared for lengthy exams if you take him . He does care and is a nice guy though.

I like Dr. Crouse but his quizzes/tests were very difficult. He goes over everything well and will push OWL back if necessary. Def go to class. There are clicker questions and it's hard to get caught up. I missed class about 5 times and did pretty mediocre and somehow got a C. Oh, and DO THE OWL. It's very easy points.

Dr. Crouse was a great teacher. Everytime i emailed him he never emailed back so he was not very helpfull. He is not a hard teacher but the course is extremely hard. I would recommend taking another teacher. My friends were in dr. northrup's class and they said he was easier to understand. Good Luck, its a hard course

He is good. I would recommend reading the book, it helped me. And do the practice problems. Clicker quizzes, so go to class. All I know is thank goodness for extra credit. I somehow ended up with an A. But I'm not complaining! Help sessions do help.

Attendance isn't "mandatory," but if you don't go, it's like hell trying to catch up. He was slower teaching the curriculum so we were always behind. However, he was willing to help if you were desperate enough to ask. He's a good guy. Just an overall challenging class.

I love Dr. Crouse! He is a wonderful teacher and if you do your homework and go to class there is no reason for you not to pass! Get a book even though it is not required and work the extra problems he posts. They help a lot!

I had Dr. Crouse for Organic 1 & 2. If you want to really know your organic chemistry this is the guy to take. Its pretty hard to make an A and keep it, but not impossible. He has dozens of stories and can keep class real interesting. Like I said, this man will test your abilities but I wouldn't be where I am without having him as a professor!

Dr. Crouse is an excellent professor. He is very in-depth and his class is difficult, but if you take him you will learn chemistry! He is an organic chemist, so he likes to ask questions about it often. Great for pre-meds. Do the problems in the back of the book if you want to make an A. Also, make sure you read the text.

Great teacher, great lectures. Really wants you to know the material and does many examples. Offers help-study sessions before every exam and quiz. Very helpful teacher who cares about his students. Does some cool experiments in class as well. Only negative is that he cusses randomly and unnecesarily at rare and random times in lecture.

I enjoy his lectures. If you pay attention just about everything he talks about will make sense. He uses powerpoint slides that follow along with notes that you can purchase. Overall I think he's a pretty good professor.

Has a good sense of humor. He does daily grades, so can't miss too much class. Class isn't that bad. I only fell asleep in there once. Tests are fairly easy. Just listen and do the homework, its easy. Gives TONS of extra credit. Recommended------I never even bought a book you don't need it... just get the notes!

Easy easy easy. Easiest Chem 1110 teacher. Too bad you only see "staff" when you register. Has help sessions, limited OWL, easiest quizzes. Entertaining, and I mean entertaining, compared to the other professors. He blew up a pringles can in class, filled a baloon with liquid nitrogen until it popped, and he has a really bright green laser.Take him

Dr. Crouse was a great chem teacher. He offered lots of extra credit. Tests and quizzes weren't easy but you have a lot of grades in the class. One bad test or quiz won't kill you. He always did study sessions. Best 1110 teacher at Tech
