One of the best statistics professors at cofc! Most of the kids on class texted on their phones the whole semester, which is disrespectful. Go to class, pay attention, do online homework-which is extremely easy and you will get an A. Three easy tests and a final.

nice lady, but honestly horrendous at teaching. Over half the class dropped. I leave every day &try to self-teach the material. The online homework often doesn't correlate with the lesson well enough. I stare at the homework for hours. She doesn't care if you spend a multitude of hours that you don't have time for on the homework.

Pretty easy class. The online homework really helped me a lot with the material on the exams. The lectures are pretty dry but she does a good job in explaining things where everyone can understand. Just do the homework and youll be fine.

I found this class to be pretty straight-forward and fairly easy to keep up with. Prof Rivers lectures are informative and she doesn't mind giving extra help. I had no issues learning the material and as long as you do the homework you should be fine. Overall, I had a very good experience with this professor.

she was an amazing teacher, i thought i was going to end up dropping this class but she is always available to help you and actually wants you to succeed! never makes you feel stupid and will go over something as much as you need. take her take her, i highly recommend her, one of my favorite teachers EVER

This was my second time taking the course and she made it seem so much easier! She was very helpful and never implied that a question was dumb. My only complaint is that HAWKES took a lot of time to complete the assignments, and were a big part of your grade, but the questions on the tests didn't reflect material on HAWKES. Would recommend!

Never thought I'd ever like math. Genuinely the best teacher I've ever had. It is my second time taking the class and she made everything so clear, and she's very nice. Take her!!!

Get ready to teach yourself calculus. She goes over the material but does not teach it. If you take her make sure you do the book work every night, it is where she gets the test questions from! She is a very nice lady but she could have been a better teacher

I hate math & was scared to death of the word "calculus" prior to this class. But Prof Rivers is AMAZING. She explained the material in a way non-math majors could understand. & if you didn't get it the 1st time, she would explain it in different ways until everyone got it. She never made you feel stupid even if you know you asked a stupid question

She was awesome I went to every single office hours held (2x a week)it paid off. Among one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life! She makes sure you understand the material.If you dont understand go to office hours. Oh make sure you do the homework assignments it makes a huge difference. Shes stern on grades. No freebies EVER!

Rivers is awesome. I took calc with 2 other professors and had to drop because they couldn't explain the material... and I have an A in her class. Im not much of a math fan, but this was one of my favorite classes here. The online homework can be frustrating but it really really helps.. TAKE HER.

absolutely loved her!! i HATE math and this was probably my favorite class in college so far. she explains the topics so well and the online homework really does help. its definitely important to do b/c its a pretty big portion of the grade and it really does help. i definitely recommend this class

Dr. Rivers is great. She presents the material in a very understanding way, and is willing to stop and make sure you understand it. Don't fall back on the online assignments and you're almost guaranteed to do well on the tests, and therefore the class.

Prof.Rivers is amazing! I'm terrible at math, never had an A in any math class & I'm getting an A in this class. Online homework is tedious but totally worth it to learn the material. Prof.Rivers has students in her office during all of her office hours to offer help with anything you are having trouble with. Grades for your benefit! Take her!!
