Comment:
Perhaps in person he is a better teacher - online class with him was a nightmare. Expect tests that are ridiculous in difficulty on material barely brushed over in class. Entirely over reliant on Flipit (which itself is hard to learn from). Only saving grace is that the class is graded on a *heavy* curve.

Prof. Swartz laughs at students that ask questions in class. His tests are ridiculously hard. Students are not prepared for homework and test questions as he is over reliant on FlipItPhysics,

Comment:
Although his teaching abilities are perfectly fine, Professor Swartz is just not a nice person in general and it really shows in the classroom. I felt that he was unnecessarily and inappropriately mean to students at times and his behavior was quite unwarranted.

Comment:
Pathetic excuse for a teacher. His teaching methods are completely ineffective, which is a huge concern for a subject like physics. His lectures focus too little on important details on physics concepts, instead focusing on lengthy and ultimately useless derivations. He uses FlipItPhysics to attempt to supplement his poor job, but it isn't enough.

You really can't see him unless you make an appointment with him, but he's a pretty OK professor, so the TA really determines the class experience. There is a pretty good curve for labs.

He doesn't do much with the lab class as is made clear but if you get to know him personally he's incredibly nice, helpful and very easy to get along with. Great guy.
