Excellent prof. Math 311 is a tough course, with lots of material covered, but that's not Dr. Holland's fault. He never missed a lecture, got through with time for review, and did examples in class that helped on assignments. Midterm and final is tough, but he is a generous marker, and gives lots of part marks. UofC needs more like him.

It's strictly business with Dr. Holland. He's brilliant, fair, and I would recommend him to anyone taking Linear Methods 211. I realized I struck gold with Holland when I was looking back at my extensive, clear, and concise notes for the final.

Dr. Holland is possibly the greatest prof EVER. He doesn't learn names or anything, but you feel close to him. Has fun little quirks too. Amazing teaching style, thorough as hell and usually answers your questions before you have to ask them. Assignments were easy, tests were very hard. Worth it to truly learn the material though. Loved this prof.

Amazing Prof! I've had both Elsabrouty and Greenberg, but Darius takes the cake. His notes are so clear and explains everything so well. I don't know if it's because the course is easy or if it's because of his teaching but I've never done so well in Calc. Don't come in late or you'll get the death glare, and keep up, he writes FAST ~5000 words/min

Holds the record for writing speed. Writes really fast but everything makes a lot of sense and he explains it very well. Tons of examples. His tests are hard but he tries to give you marks. Oh and he never uses the textbook, and you probably don't need it because his notes are that good.

Really good prof. Sort of weird. Very fair in his marking and tests. Don't come in late cause he'll stop what he's doing and give you the death glare. At first it was really funny to watch, but then it just begins to disrupt class so be on time!

If you have to take linear algebra make sure you have Holland. The course is very challenging (in the opinion of a bio major)but Holland will make it bearable. He explains concepts well but get ready for lots of note taking. Lectures are pretty much 50 mins of straight writing. He's sort of a strange guy but he knows his stuff and has amazing hair.

Very odd guy but loved linear algebra with him. Webwork assignments seemed harder than the midterm and final. Practice midterm and final almost identical the actual ones. Wicked hair! I would take another class with him!
