Nice lady but absolutely useless as a professor. Does nothing in class but sit and watch the other students present and give out the quiz they made. Does not teach. Does not give her own quizzes. Class is entirely run by the students, and youd think thats a good thing until it actually happens. Grades harshly. Utterly useless professor.

Nice lady but doesnt do any teaching whatsoever, students present every class and explain the chapter. Shes just there to guide the discussion, honestly not sure why they pay her to be a professor when the students do all the work.

The way she taught this class was very laid back but I didn't learn anything. Students present a chapter in the textbook every single class which gets repetitive. However, she's not too tough of a grader and lets you show her your paper/projects before their due to make sure you get a good grade. Overall a pretty boring class but not too difficult.

Every week, a different pair of students teaches the class and gives a quiz. She never gets up to teach. Gives paragraph-long feedback on paper/projects. Some on mine included "Certainly not an animated person" "Terribly written paper" Talks only about her life in Washington State and why New Paltz is better than Marist. Annoying, my only non-A.

Prof. Perisse is a very nice lady. Took her writing for college class, only two papers for the semester and a couple projects, and she lets you revise both to get papers to get a better grade. She does tend to lecture the entire class and can get off topic, but she is there to help her students. I liked the class.

Unclear when she gives assignments, long lectures. She refers to the textbook for almost every assignment. She allows resubmissions so if you don't do well the first time, you can try again.

This class is so easy but kind of boring. I was looking forward to being challenged and learning some new things in my first journalism class as a Journalism major and I was disappointed. All of the assignments are very easy and she's an easy grader. She's such a sweet lady and will accept anything late.

This class was really easy if you payed attention to her directions on assignments. Overall if you put the effort into the class and atleast show that you are trying... you should get an A! Great teacher! But classes can get pretty redundant at times :/

Absolutely love her and her course! She is passionate about her students and does everything she can to help them succeed. She is very understanding so if you ever run into an issue or having trouble understanding something all you have to do is talk to her. I highly recommend taking her course!

She is really easy, you do absolutely nothing in her class and can easily get her off the subject. You need to follow her criteria for writing and you'll get a good grade. Always there after class for extra help too. Can revise every single essay you write, as many times as you like. Easy/fun class, not much learning

If you are from the west coast, you win. She's from Seattle, and loves the west coasters. Good class, if you get her off topic she can go for days. She rambles, a lot. Not a lot of writing in a College Writing course though....

Doesn't actually teach very much, again talks a lot about her life and expects you to be able to write well. Very, very nice though, helpful to me. Not a lot of writing for a college writing class...

She is an extremely tough grader. For a 75 minute class, only 30 minutes of it is actually used in being productive. She assigns a TON of work and barely explains what she wants. Do not take her for college writing. She is a nice woman but the workload is harder than any other class I've had at Marist.

This woman is the worst teacher I have ever had. She expects things out of the student, but then doesnt explain what she wants. If you have her, please switch out, it is not worth it. She explains 5 pages papers two classes before hand. Never expect a grader higher than a B-. She gives unreasonable work, and is not worth the trouble. SHES THE WORST

Worst teacher i have ever had or could have imagined having. Definitely a very nice lady, means well, but horrible teacher. does not teach ANYTHING. attendance is mandatory and the whole class period she tells stories about her life experinces then expects you to know how your supposed to write the paper. You can hand in an excellent peice of writi

Professor Perisse is the most compassionate professor I've had here at Marist. If you have her for college writing 1+2 then she'll be much easier on you in 2. Granted she's not teaching material but shes a nice lady and she wont ruin your grade like these bumbling idiots all claim. She just likes to see you be the best writer you can be.

There was a lot of busy work and she expects your organization to be to her standards or she makes you do a rewrite. She is a nice lady, but if you're a good creative writer, she makes you dumb down your work.
