Taking on line classes are so hard but she tried to make it clear and something you could survive while learning. I liked the readings alot and the discussion posts even though there were a lot of negative people in class.

She grades essays really tough and did not give me clear comments on my essays. Never gave clear instructions on any assignments. I never had a problem with an English teacher until now and it was the longest semester I have dealt with. She would talk down to me and compare her classes to higher-level university classes. Did not reciprocate respect

Professor Fitzgerald is a strict grader; I remember getting a C on my first paper despite being a very good writer. However, I went into her office hours every few weeks and talked to her about each paper and how I could improve my grades. With her help, I got an easy A, so the key is to ask questions and get help during her office hours!

She expects a lot but it is worth it. Students in my peer response group sometimes whined about her grading, but they wanted a lot for a little effort. She posted everything and gave feedback.

Do not take this Prof. HORRIBLE!!! Instructions unclear, talks down on her students, and always compares her class to higher courses and schools. If you want to work for UC Berk, then do it lady. Paid for the textbook, yet I could've read the poems on the internet for free... Don't even think you can get an A on her essays. She's a joke.

I took her online class and overall she was good but at times can be a bit unclear with directions. Just email her or drop in her student hours if youre confused and shell get back to you pretty fast. As long as you stay on top of assignments its not too bad.

I was kind of weary to take Professor Cathy Fitzgerald due to previous ratings but overall she was an excellent teacher. She assigns readings every week which will help give you an idea about how you'll be writing your essay (4 major essays I believe?) She gives great feedback and makes you work for your grade but nothing too crazy.

Every time, the essay's maximum is 88. I mean it. Not more than that. The Mean is around 50. After very hardworking, and you think still get B or C is fine. So you can take it. But no one gonna get A for this class. Remember, No one gonna be. If you want to take at summer section, got to be ready to clam yourselves down. Dont miss anyone lectures

Prof Fitzgerald is amazing! I learned a lot of new study methods to use for studying on tests and memorizing vocab! Extra credit is offered and she's hilarious, very interactive with students, and wants to make sure you're on track. Obviously loves her job and instead of giving this teacher an apple, give her a diet coke - seriously she deserves it
