Tough grader for sure. He is not merciful when it comes to late work, and he doesn't give enough time to complete all the assignments. Many miscommunications through emails that he blamed me for. Maybe take this class alone and not with other classes, as it will take up all of you're time. I do not recommend taking history with him.

This is an easy class if you buy his book, it has all the answers. However, the essay part of the test is horrible. He is a very tough grader with the essays. I got perfect scores on all three multiple choice tests but the essay on the Final I got a D and one C on another essay. It was ridiculous. BECAUSE of the essay grades I got a C+ in the class

I did not like this class because you had 3 tests and 3 essay exams. The essay exams are tough because he gives you 5 prompts but only 3 will be on the test and you have to memorize the essay and he is a tough grader. Only buy one of the books, the one that HE wrote has the same multiple choice questions as the test. He takes role randomly.

He said this will be his last semester teaching. Need to study 3 out of 5 essay questions to guarantee answer to 1 of 3 questions given during exam. Midterm & final essay exam each worth 30%. 3 MC's 10% each. 10% attendance. Took the 3hr sat class, all meetings are lectures & 3 test days. The professor busy so substitute most of the time.

I had him for a once a week class and he missed at least 6 days out of the 16 week semester. He would give us the test cover (example) chapter 1-11 and we would have onlygone through chapter 1-9. So he would cover the chapters after the test. I got an A on midterms but final was 35% of grade. He makes us buy his book in order to get an A

He is a hilarious professor. He doesn't come to class every day. The one who subtitute for him sucks because he is confusing. It would be really helpful if you buy the American History : An Overvier Since 1865 b Bradley Reynolds because it has the multiple choice questions.

His class is fairly decent. 2 test & the final. Attendance is important, he randomly calls roll. The test has the EXACT same questions as the workbook, no trick questions. ONLY buy the work book and you'll get an A+ in the multiple choice. The essay part is easy as long as you prepare for it.

He's not the type of person who's patient with you but HIS lectures are reeeaaally enjoyable. I emphasized that because he's there every other week and his sub was a drag. Class was an easy A just buy the optional book-all questions are same ones on exams. 2 essay exams u need to actually study for though.

He is a well respected professor, he knows the material. Only purchase his optional book, which costs about $100 and study the same exact Multiple choice questions from the book that will be on the tests. Only 3 MC tests and 2 graded in class essays in which he will provide 5 prompts before hand. Recommended course.

Get the optional book only. MC questions are all in there. The essay questions are given to you in the syllabus. Pretty straightforward instructions. He will deduct grade for nonattendance. That's how I ended up with an A-. Overall, go to class study for 2 essays and 3 MC tests and the class is a breeze. Great lectures. Definitely recommended!

He was awesome. If you buy the optional book he wrote most of the questions on the multiple choice test are on there and if you just study for the essay tests you should be good to go. He does randomly take attendance so its important that you be there. His sub sucks and she was there 4-5 times throughout the semester.

I took Professor Reynolds for History 111 and 112. In 111 I only got a B because I didn't do so well on the first test (60s)... after that I knew what to expect and I got an A on all the other tests. When I took him during 112, I did the homework and took the tests. Easiest A I ever got. MAKE SURE TO TURN HOMEWORK IN EARLY...

He's a really straight forward guy. Randomly takes attendance, but attendance does matter. Get the textbook! He gives 2-3 exams; the multiple choice questions are word for word from the text, and the essay prompts/questions are given before-hand so you have a lot of time to study and know what to expect. Overall pretty easy class.

It was an okay class. If you study for the essay questions and you're good at writing essays then you'll definitely get an A or a B for sure. He takes attendance and having him for 8 am is a little rough. Definitely buy the optional book!! Overall he's okay not an easy A but not too bad either

It was an ok class. I had to take it because I had no choice. you mainly just have to study the essay questions that he gives you but he likes lots of detail. the professor is good when he lectures but his sub is horrible.

Great Professor! you will learn a lot! test questions are identical to the option book, essay questions are listed on the syllabus so you know what to write about. BUY the optional book. DO NOT buy the required one. YOU WILL NOT NEED IT.
