Comment:
I wonder if he still uses the same tests from 2008 which everyone has had the answers for and distributes them to everyone in the class. If you aren't one of the ones finishing the test in 10 minutes and getting a 90+ on it, you should ask your fellow students to get the test answers they've already been given by other students.

Comment:
Class is centered upon student led discussion. Volunteering at Emma Elementary is required. Two papers. He is a wise man, but doesn't put in a whole lot of effort. Reading of Poisonwood is great. If you want an easy 414 class this is your guy, but if you want $ worth seek other options. Good man, but doesn't seem invested. Students carry class.

McKnight is great! maybe not everyone will like him, but i loved him. he def has his credentials (Yale+Cornell) plus the guy is extremely knowledgeable. really likes to question society and reality, and doesn't give a damn about what people think, just wants to open people's minds and teach. I advise to get your money's worth and take him.

His humanities class is great. He's really intelligent and it's almost always interesting. No tests, and you get to tutor cute kids! You'll also read an incredible book. Take it if you can!

Great professor who knows his stuff and keeps it interesting. His humor is ridiculous, but I think he knows it. I can understand how it might be unappreciated at 8am, but it certainly entertained me. Students in this class were all over the map as far as previous music experience, but he brought it all together into something everyone learned from.

I liked him, although he really intimidated me (and still does!). Maybe it's because he's so smart. DEFINITELY knows his stuff. He does get upset if people doesn't appreciate the music. The 8 am is horrible, and his humor is not so great. But he's nice and a good teacher.

Comment:
McKnight knows his material, but presents it in the most boring of manners. No enthusiam or charisma. Thinks highly of himself, and his jokes are about as funny as having to get up at 8 to endure his lecture. Maybe this man is more tolerable in the afternoon. My suggestion is to watch out about the 8 o'clock. Attendance is mandantory!

He has been the most interesting and fun professor i have ever had. I am amazed at how much information is in that brain of his. He speaks fluent German so it makes class veyr interesting when he pulls out a line in german while reading from an ENGLISH text. And he has a great sense of humor. I always find myself laughing. HE'S GREAT!
