Comment:
Physics 207 is just a beast of a class. There's no mandatory homework, but you have to practice problems. Simply listening in lecture won't cut it. The exams are impossible, but Chung's office hours are wonderful. If this is your first college level physics class, get and stay ahead of chapters. If you don't it'll feel like rock science.

Great professor if you know how to teach yourself. I do not recommend learning from him. I found this class easy however I never did anything the same way as Chungy. The only way to do well in this course is to do problems on your own until you understand. His tests are actually easier than the other professor's but no one is prepared.

Good guy overall. His tests are hard, but if you go to lecture and have a pretty good understanding of basic physics coming in, you'll do fine. The weekly quizzes are annoying, but they help to make sure you are staying on track for the tests. Lab is boring and tedious, but not bad.

Began first class by saying "I haven't taught this course in over a decade" and it shows. Teaches facing the board, not the students. Refuses to use any online resources so must go to class. Minimal explanation in class. Must teach yourself the concepts. "Optional" homework problems are so crucial; you'll have no idea what's going on without them.

Spent 99% of the time lecturing with his back to the class, scribbling equations on the board. Not the easiest to understand.

All he did during lecture was do physics problems from the book. My TA did a better job at explaining the concepts than he did. He only gives a midterm and final, and then you have weekly quizzes during discussion.

Go to office hours!! He is so nice and happy and helpful in his office. It was pretty much a "teach it yourself" class. Going to lectures didn't really help you learn. Use the book and go to him for help! He lets you make the tests yourself by submitting your own questions. Definitely not an easy class, but Leung is a good guy. A is do-able

Don't take him unless you have prior physics background. I had a great teacher in high school and easily got an A in this class while only going to 1/3 of the lectures. Read the textbook, do the homework, and ask questions. Start the year out strong so you don't have to take the 4th exam (final).

idk why everybody is writing these horror stories on this guy. he's really NOT that bad. He wants you to pass, but he wants you to work for it.The class is doable.TAs are always there to help M-Th at the physics center& they basically steer you to the answer,if that doesn't work then go to his office hours. Not many came to his office or pays center

This professor has surely changed based on the initial perceptions of him. He is not a good teacher and his exams are very difficult. They are nothing like the examples he does in class. He is very indifferent and his lectures are not cohesive.75 to 80% of the class got C's. I f you do take him do the hw and lab deligently. That and my God saved me f

leung is great one on one if you see him during office hours but his lectures in class are awful. he doesn't talk loud enough and his notes make no sense idk what im looking at.its a teach yourself course and unfortunately no matter how much you study outside of class youll prob still fail because the tests are 100x harder than the hw

the most difficult physics class I've ever take, but I learned a lot. defenitly not for the faint of heart, but if you are good at math and physics, you'll learn your stuff. the only drawback is that he spends a little too much time deriving things, and a little to little doing problems.

Worst teacher at the University, avoid at all costs.Horrible professor who confuses his students by deriving formulas from other formulas to no end.Does the thinking in his head without explaining it to students.Moves too fast.HW designed to lower grade

Take this professor, you won't regret it! Homework is hard, but he'll help you out during discussion sessions. The tests are not too bad either. He actually speaks English and his lectures are clear enough that you don't have to rely soley on the book.

BEST PHYSICS TEACHER here since Woo and Whoo. You actually make the tests. He even had a party for Einstein's birthday. Homework is a bit hard, but besides that, not a bad course
