Where do I begin. The exams! Very particular and deep-level analysis questions that, frankly, an actual geographer would have difficulty answering. I'm just trying to be a middle school social studies teacher. This type of questioning is too difficult for the level of preparation and instruction he gives. If you can - avoid at all costs! :(

tests are open note but super specific, usually curved by 10 points but still hard to pass. in order to get a good grade, or even passing grade, you cannot miss class and make sure you pass the map quizzes, they could save your grade

Worst professor I have ever had during my college career. His grading is quite contradicting. Hell make simple questions such as what color is the sky? His notes will say blue, but a test will give you red, yellow, cyan, or none of the above. Then mark your answer incorrect because you chose none of the above instead of cyan.

His tests are open book and open note, but he doesn't test on either the book or lecture material. Instead, his exams are a scavenger hunt for details he may or may not have mentioned -- and they are poorly written. Map quizzes are not difficult. Lectures are interesting. But he'll kill your GPA.

I took this class online. Do not take if looking for an easy elective. This professor makes you work for your grade and does not offer any type of extra credit. He is extremely specific in the questions he asks and will ask about the smallest of details. He is very knowledgeable. I did well in this class but only because I was on top it.

He's really picky with what he's looking for especially with the map quizzes, but he still makes sure students get the help that's needed. His tests are open note and open book, but he tests you on the smallest details possible. As long as you put a little effort into studying, you should be fine.

Lectures are hard to follow if you have no background information on the topic. Asks very specific questions on the exams however only gives brief detail during lectures. Has to give class 10 point curve in order for us to do decent on the exams. Makes you memorize 50+ places then only asks for 11 on the map quizzes.

Dr. Campell is a pretty cool professor, his tests are relatively easy if you pay attention during class. Open to any kind of question and very "animated" in his lectures. He's a solid choice to take if you're taking one of these classes for a Gen Ed.

His quizzes are extremely tough . He gives a lot of places and only asks for 11 on the map quiz. His tests are difficult . He does however let you use your book but it is not much help. His test questions mainly come from the notes. If you miss a lot of classes or even a week of classes you will miss a lot of material.

Hes a super sweet guy. Geniuely likes & care about students. He is very open to discussion and answering questions during and after class. His personality is very quirky, but you can tell he tries hard to relate to students. Tests are challenging, but he you use the book and gives you a study guide. Maps are gone over in class and quizzed on.

He really knows his material but his tone is the same throughout the lecture so it gets boring. He tries cracking jokes, but my class either never understood them or they just were not funny. His tests are extremely hard. He has to do at least a 15 point curve for so the majority of the class doesn't fail the tests.

He is a very interesting teacher. I liked him a ton in geography and he gets really into the subject. He does biweekly map quizzes over the world which really helps you learn about the world. His tests are kinda hard because you have to take really good notes. Overall, a 4.0 teacher in my opinion, gives you a bit of a challenge.

Dr. Campbell was very passionate about teaching and knew what he was talking about. You have a map quiz about every other week, they're helpful points, but you have to memorize about 100+ places and he only asks 11. Tests were quite challenging also, nothing like the study guides, but more like the notes taken.
