You need to go to class and do the reading to get an A. He does clicker questions during class that get tallied up along with your group assignments (again, EVERY class). He expects you to read the textbook before class to answer the questions. Tests were all through ProctorU. He's really tough on grading your writing so beware

Definitely don't take the class if you're the type of student who won't read the textbook. You're expected to have read the material before class where he then lectures on it. Your grade is made up of in-class quizzes, daily group assignments, and exams. The class really isn't that hard if you put the work into it.

Chapter tests every week but you do get 3 chances to take the test, however, it is at the testing center which is so inconvenient. He also times how long he teaches for which is 7 minutes. Every class you do group work either questions or figure from book. When we were home he gave 2 3 chapter tests with only 1 try which was so annoying on proctoru

Dr. Stanton definitely makes you work for your grade, but he is always available to help you understand what you don't get. He comes off a lot more strict than he is; if you go to him for help he will help you for as long as you need. He is super passionate about this class and wants everyone to succeed.

The worst class I have ever taken. Exams every single week at the testing center, you get 3 tries though. Need to complete two seminars (invitation only) to even be eligible for an A, one for a B. Clicker quizzes every class. Textbook MANDATORY even to bring to class or you cannot complete assignments. Save yourself and just dont take it.

There were pre- and post- clicker quizzes each Monday and Wednesday class meeting and exams every Friday. Exams required great understanding for application. Students could attend up to 2 of the 3 seminars to by invitation only. Required to attend 2 seminars to receive an A and 1 to receive a B. Professor was monotone but still cool and funny.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. SAVE YOURSELF. DO IT FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH. JUST DON'T DO IT. Lectures are awful, powerpoints are not helpful. The textbook is the driest thing I have ever encountered. No continuity in what is gone over in class with weekly exams. Expect to memorize 60+ pages a week to only get a B.

Please do not take this class. I'm not a psych BABS reviewing this- I'm not just whining. The grading scheme is operant conditioning, and he's conducting YOUR GRADE as his own experiment. You think you can get ahead- you can't. 60+ pgs of dense readingweek, a testweek. Material is DRY. I had to work harder to get an AA- than my A in BISC403

As a student currently enrolled in this class, I truly wish I wasn't. This might actually be the worst class I've ever taken. There is an exam every week which, there are three versions for due to how hard they are and you will inevitably fail the first one. Stanton is unclear and does not help you at all when it comes to lectures. Do Not Bother.

Really nice guy, never went to class and got a B. You have to read every page of the entire book (minus the 2 chapters we skipped) for the quizzes, so that sucked. He gives points for coming to class and asking questions. If I had done that I would've gotten an A, but I could never finish reading on time to come with questions (he will call on you
