Best Teacher So far! Gerry is an absolute unit. Buddy rips a sweet charger. His problem sessions are actually the best out of any class and he knows more about his subject than any other prof. Would recommend it to anyone, whether or not you need a science.

Gerry is a gem! He's an amazing prof and is really funny. He makes chem exciting and fun. His course isn't all that heavy and he explains everything really well. He prepares you well for the midterm. Weekly quizzes based off of the weekly assignments. There is a book but his notes suffice. Labs are biweekly and decent. Do the prelabs!

Gerry is a great prof who loves chem, his class is always a fun time (he's a leafs fan so make fun of him for that) he does really care about his class and wants you to do well, saying that you do actually need to work class is not a joke but if you fall behind go talk to him and he'll help you out

I had Gerry for a couple of elective Chemistry courses back between 1998 and 2000. Looking back, he's one of the few profs I actually remember pretty well. He was excellent: He explained things well and was easy to approach. Phys Chem was definitely not my bag, but Jerry made it as good as it could be.

Gerry was amazing. It is a hard course, but if you put the work in and ask him for help you'll do fine. Gerry was very helpful. The online summer course had lots of work to do, but you get 6 credits in 3 months. The on campus labs were awesome. I can't put enough emphasis on how great of a prof he is! Caring, funny, helpful, and so on.

Best CHEM 100 prof hands down. Very funny sense of humour and always tried to make chemistry interesting. Knew each student by their first (and sometimes last) name and was always available for office hours. Do the Mastering Chemistry assignments because he really covers the bare minimum in lecture!

Favourite Professor of First year! This is definitely a challenging course but if you put in the time, results will show. He is very helpful and classes are pretty entertaining. The course gets more challenging as the year goes on, so take advantage of the beginning simple stuff. He has a large say of what goes on the exam so I was glad I had him!

Friendly guy, but very hard class. If you are just an average uni student, you need to work hard, but classes make no sense and are almost useless. However, he is VERY fair marker and gives alot of chances on assignments/quizzes. As long as you try really hard on assignments/quizzes, you can mess up all exams and still get in the 70s (like me).

Gerry is the best professor that I have had thus far at St. FX. He is extremely passionate about his chemistry, and is very helpful. Do your homework and you'll get a great mark. He is a brilliant man (his mental calculations are unbelievable) who is a very generous marker. If you have a choice, take his class!!
