Comment:
He doesn't care about his students success at all. He only grades on Saturdays and gives no extra help when you ask for it. I asked for help and he copy and pasted the instructions for the assignment. He talks to students twice throughout the semester and gave no additional help to aiding his students during COVID

The PSYC 120 class is overall a pretty boring class, just finish all 15 assignments by the end of the semester and pass. Eric was a great professor for it though, he made awesome recommendations for me, and made time for me to talk to him over zoom. Super chill guy!

Eric Landrum is an academic advisor. I do not know what I did to upset him. He was hostile towards me from the moment I started our zoom meeting. He accused me of lying. I was not lying but was left totally speechless. Do I argue? I just stared at him in disbelief. If I had interacted with him before starting at BSU, I would've gone elsewher

Worst professor I've ever had. Expect him to nit-pick every single thing you turn in and expect him to give rude and arrogant responses. I've never had a professor who has left me feeling this frustrated.

I did most of my assignments early, last day of the semester I went and made sure I was good. He had commented on every single one of my assignments saying something was wrong with them. the MOST nit-picky grader I have ever had. Was ready to take a fail I was so frustrated. 10/10 don't recommend I've never had a teacher this frustrating

i was very excited about the self paced/mastery based aspect of the course but soon realized it was worse than a normal grading system. You have 15 assignments to turn in and if you get one wrong you fail the class. Professor is very nit picky when grading which can screw you over if you don't get everything done super early.

Comment:
After doing an online meeting with him and others in the course it is blatantly obvious he thinks himself as better than everyone. He's very nitpicky when grading without very clear criteria. Also, all of the materials you'll read that he suggests, including the textbook, are all written by him or he had some kind of influence on them. ARROGANT.

I understand this is an online course but requiring an in-person meeting for an assignment during the quarantine and not being flexible enough to even just allow the meet to happen virtually or over the phone means you've lost all respect in my eyes. I have had very little contact with Landrum but I immediately can see how arrogant he is.

Set own pace, great, get done early, nit picky things hold you up. Mastery based would be good except for the nit pickiness. With APA, I would have liked to take a C and just let that be averaged in. There is no way to do that in this class. You must finish to his perfection level or fail. Very frustrating class. Would be better not online.

I took PSYC 321 with him as well, and can honestly say he cares for his students' success. He wants every student to leave his class with something that will help in the future, like resumes, research experience, etc. He is hilarious, he makes a difficult class manageable.

Hes just kind of a rude professor. The class seemed pointless. 15 assignments each worth one point to pass. I guess the class is tailored towards freshmen who need to learn to follow directions but its just a poorly laid out course. Judging by his email responses to me for this online class, I would never want to take a course from him in person.

Goofy guy, likes to amuse himself in class. Attendance required but no textbooks. Group and personal projects, plus weekly "reflections".Gives pretty good feedback. Clear on what he expects and follows his syllabus/schedule fairly close. Grades in a pretty timely manner. Really nice person and wants his students to succeed.

I learned so much from this class. My writing skills improved over the semester, especially APA. You write one big research paper through the semester, but you do it in pieces so you don't have to cram at the end. Do the work and go to his office hours to get an easy A!

Since I had him online he was really accessible. He gives good feedback and you can finish the course very quickly. You can submit the assignments as many times as you need. It is a pass/fail class.

Dr. Landrum is great at responding to questions and clear as to what he wants, but I find some of the assignments very challenging. For example, even with the resources given I still do not understand APA format which is CRUCIAL for this class.

The class is easy if you follow directions. DO NOT SKIMP ON APA FORMAT! It is a huge deal to him. He truly wants us to get something out of the class, and is a funny guy. He cares deeply about the psyc major and wants to improve it. And Dr. Landrum... here's a permanent chilli pepper for you :)

Dr. Landrum designed the course for student success. The first lecture explains expectations, keep to your plan. He notices everything. Students just need to be responsible for their learning and the expected badge completion. This course does set the first layer of knowledge for future psych courses. Its hybrid so that was helpful time wise

This class is different from most, its just 12 online assignments that are all due by the end of the semester. We met on the first class of the semester and never had to go back to class. Pretty easy to pass and if you fail an assignments you can do it over.

I can honestly say he is my favorite professor yet! I love listening to him and can hardly wait to start my assignments before leaving class. He teaches a very productive method to writing a research paper I love! Life would have been so much easier if I knew his way before! Pay close attention to to detail, he's a stickler on that! Good luck!
