I wish I could have also checked Amazing lectures, Inspirational, Hilarious and Caring. He was one of the FEW professors there that I felt gave a damn about his students. I still remember the political is personal and the personal is political after all this time.

I had Dr. Kayal in the early 1980's. I was not even a sociology major and he was by far my favorite professor, ever. I was fascinated by his lectures and learned so much about life in his classes. He told us about AIDS about 2 years before the epidemic in the mid 80s. I was seriously considering doing a double major in sociology because of him!

Single greatest professor I had throughout my BA and two MAs. Made a true impact on my life both personally and academically. Interesting, funny, compassionate and intelligent. I truly feel bad for those who had a poor experience with him.

He said he was retiring. Not too bad, just ended up with multiple things to work on at once. Can have an online quiz and reading, a paper, and research for another project all going at once for just one class.

Most realistic, relevant, and interesting professor I have ever taken. His in-class discussions are very stimulating-his quizzes are difficult and he grades tough but the experience is well worth it. He isn't hard, he is challenging and try's to make students really think about aging issues. Too bad he is retiring I want to take more classes w/ him

Dr. Kayal's class was so interesting! I actually looked forward to attending his class. There are a lot of quizzes, but they are all online. It isn't as hard as some people are making it seem. Pay attention, participate, and do the work and you will be FINE! Great class. I would highly recommend him.

I had prof Kayal when I went to Seton Hall between 1999-2001. He is the best teacher I've ever had and, 10 years later, the things I learned from him I still use today in my every day life. Truly a life changing mentor, and an amazing man. Anyone you see here who is negging him is a republican.

This is hysterical! I had Prof Kayal at SHU in 1978 for Soc 101. Roe V Wade was just 6 year before and at a Catholic College here was this at least Bi-guy advocating everything anti-Catholic/Establishment. We didn't have the internet or means to rate someone. But 30 years later I can still say he and somewhat his class was the most memorable!

Basically, I don't really like Kayal. He tries too hard to be funny and doesn't really teach at all. If you want an entertaining class, I would say take him. You can probably get a good grade.

What a great teacher. He may assign a lot of work, but he knows exactly what he is talking about. He keeps lectures entertaining by cracking a few jokes here and there.

If I have to deal with people like him for the rest of my life, I hope I get run over by a bus today quickly and easily. At least he's an entertaining lecture, but he's a real let down otherwise.

I would have preferred the term challenging as opposed to "easiness".
