Lectures are a little boring, but the professor's a nice, understanding, guy. He knows his stuff and the class isn't that bad as long as he isn't teaching the course with Polentz-Bernard. If she's in the class too, get ready for a lot of work and crappy grades. She will suck the fun out of any course he teaches.

Professor Guzzone is a kind hearted professor that is easy to get along with and easily accessible outside of class. This class is so much fun and you learn a lot from the lectures. He is very current with pop culture and the music industry and loves to play music for the class !! Hes a great guy!

Professor Guzzone is very knowledgable about the Music Industry and all it entails. He definitely helped me become well versed in the world of Copyright and Media. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in working in the entertainment industry in anyway.

The class is basically lectures based on the textbook chapter and then reading assignments from that chapter. Reading the textbook is actually important. Tests aren't bad, everything on them he covers in the lecture which are interesting so not a pain to pay attention. He's really good about responding to questions in class and emails.

Professor Guzzone is absolutely incredible. This is my favorite class that I have ever taken in my life. He is so knowledgeable about music and the history of it. I had a 3 hour class that met once a week and always wanted to stay for more! I never even needed to take notes! Tests are so easy if you pay attention and read the chapters when asked

Prof Guzzone is THE best professor I have ever had. I took this class as an elective amongst a lot of arts & entertainment management students, and immediately fell in love with it. He is the nicest, coolest guy ever. Lectures are cool, and you get to listen to good music. I would take this over and over again if I could

He is the best professor so far, he really cares about his students. The lectures are fun. He is really clear about the topics. There are 2quizzes 1 Midterm and 1 Final. Its an easy A if you understand the content, you dont have to study that much , just listen the songs and understand the influences.

Professor Guzzone is easily one of the best professors Pace has to offer. I always had an interest and love for music but he truly made my love for music sky rocket. I started to appreciate different styles of music and the cultures which individuals lived in. Thank you Professor Guzzone!

I would definitely recommend taking this class if you're passionate about music. Professor Guzzone is awesome and involved in the music industry so he's extremely knowledgeable. The lectures are 3 hours long, but they don't feel that long when you're listening to the Beatles and watching videos of Bob Dylan in between lecture slides.

Really just an amazing professor and person. You watch a lot of documentaries on music and learn all about music history in a way that's really interesting. There are a few quizzes, a midterm, and a final. HOWEVER, he does all he can to prepare you for these. He's connected in the music world, and can help with internships and advice.. MUST take!

This guy is the freakin boss, man...He knows his stuff and he's a total bro. Unfortunately the class only counts as an I&E, but...man oh man. I learned so much. And if you're having trouble, just talk to him and his wife...they are so helpful and understanding. Def take this course if you're interested in the biz. You won't regret it.

What a badass. By far one of the most enjoyable classes I've taken by Pace - this dude is the bassist for the Bacon Brothers and knows his stuff. I love music and music history, so I may be biased, but this class was just COOL from start to finish. Tests are actually harder than you'd expect, but I still got an A. Try not to miss class a lot.

i Highly reccomend this prof to anyone into music. guzzone is very knowledgeable, has alot of experience, is crystal clear, and is very good at keeping your attention. classes are never boring, he uses all sorts of media to keep your attention - music, movies, and combinations of the two.

He's a pretty good professor. MAke sure you do the reading, because he doesn't cover everything on the tests in the lectures. He keeps your interest with films and CD's, but doesn't really involve you in the class. It is more like he is talking at you, and not with you. The material itself is interesting, but the class is 3 hours.

Prof. Guzzone is a very nice Prof. However, this is not an easy class. It requires alot of reading and the test are a bit hard. You really have to keep up with the reading. Overall Prof. Guzzone is a great Prof.
