I appreciated Lewis as an accounting and finance prof. He makes the concepts simple and teaches a simple way of doing the calculations. If you do the homework, the tests are easy enough. He likes to tie in stories and personal experiences as well.

Lectures are taught extremely fast, difficult to keep up. If you are uncertain with the work or ask for help he makes you feel stupid. Had 2 people drop his class this semester because he was rude. Reading the other reviews confused me because he was ANGRY in every class.

Lewis has a very outgoing personality so it made his very approachable with any concepts I was struggling with. He also uses a "drill and kill" method in which he give practice problems to really make sure we understand the material. I never had homework in his class because he always gave us time in class to work on it. I would highly recommend.

his printed out handout notes are a little hard to read at times. If you honestly struggle with the material he will do his best to describe how its done properly. Gives off the impression that he teaches because he wants to.

95% of the focus in class is to prepare you for the practical part of the test. This is great because the practical is the hardest part. Only reason he's not a 5 out of 5 is because his way of preparing you for the theory is to say "find it yourself" or "read the chapter". He does give you a list with a general list of terms for you to hunt for.

Louis taught inaccurate info about stock markets and fintech. Instead of explaining how the math works, you spend a lot of time on a calculator. From experience, this does not help in future university level finance. He even showed the class his stock choice, PRE (tsx listing), google it. Bus292 is a laughable attempt at what Finance should be.

Lewis taught concepts well, and did a few examples in class then gave you homework questions; which he gave the last hour of class for you to finish them, so I never had homework in his class and also got to leave early everyday. He also posts the answers to the homework questions so you get easy grades. Warns about quizzes. Gives answers to tests.

He makes you practice stuff over and over which i think is a great method for accounting. He makes everything clear and makes sure you understand it. Goodluck reading his writing though. You probably need to hire a decoder from the CIA

I personally found ACC-175 to be easier than ACC-170, which I also has Lewis for. Lewis does a good job of going through problems, using his "drill and kill" method. He wants you to understand. He'll often call on a random student for answers to make sure you're getting it.

Lewis has a fun personality. Accounting is a fairly difficult class, but he does a good job of going through problems. He uses a "drill-and-kill" method of teaching after he has gone over the basics. He doesn't teach much of the theory, but he still tells you what you should review for the theory. He seems kind of disorganized at times.

Lewis is a great teacher. Very helpful. His laugh is the funniest I have ever heard. Teaches in an easy to understand manner. His case studies are very easy once you understand what he wants. Always willing to listen and have a little chat. He used to work at a bank as a fianacial advisor, so he knows first hand how it works in the banking world.

I took business finance and intro marketing with Lewis. Great guy, he is always ready and willing to help. His case studies are hard and he expects you to study. If you show up and pay attention then you should get a B or higher with no problems. He also is also quite easy going.

He is a tough teacher to get used to at first. But study hard and you`ll do well. He is a genius teacher and knows the course material religiously. He created his own notes package so text book use is minimal but you still need it, DO YOUR READINGS!!! Overall I would take any class he teaches. He expects a lot and will call you out on it.

Lewie gives you all the info, and study guides for tests, his case studys can be kind of hard, but if you have a good group you can get though. He usually pretty clear about what he's trying to say but can get sidetrack during lessons which results in your having to read his slides yourself.

He has no tact. He wastes valuable time that could be spent learning and practicing the concepts. Once we get going into the lecture, we only really have half a class to learn it, then he keeps us late to compensate. This created an attitude of annoyance and irritation in me, something not conducive to learning.

Nice personality guy, knows his stuff really well, lil eccentric (but what genius isn't?) has great notes, tendency to ramble on about completely random stuff that has nothing to do with class but his stories are generaly interesting and funny! Gives decent reviews, but is not the easiest marker.

You either like him or you dont. I didnt. I found his teaching style useless. He pulls a lot of quizzes and has an arrogant attitude. I found I would rather skip class and learn on my own then go to his class.
