Terrible. Very disorganized online class. Instructions for assignments were all over the place. She wanted a finished essay for a draft and her feedback was very confusing and unhelpful. Her grading and expectations of this class are too high for this level. Does not seem to care about her students.

Feedback is discouraging and confusing, she refuses to read papers if they are not exactly what she asked for. Insane amounts of reading and research. If you're not good at writing don't take her classes. Not-ADHD friendly teaching. The quality of work she expects is higher than other classes at the 3000 level in this department.

After completing my Midterm, I received a horrible grade due to her not giving me any points on my short written response question and just disregarded the rubric she provided. I scheduled to meet with her and she even asked me to send in an assignment early for her to give me feedback, but she never did. Instead, I was asked again what I needed.

She can be quite rude when giving feedback which can be discouraging. I did not find that her criticism was constructive or helpful to my future assignments. She grades random homework one paragraph assignments as if i was writing a final essay or a doctorate dissertation. I would just recommend taking anthropology with ANY other professor.

She gives a fair amount of homework. It was not crazy amounts however it took a long time to complete because as she is an extremely tough grader. Her grading is tough but she gives great line by line feed back on any written assignment drafts you send her. Her class is overall really difficult not due to content but because she grades so hard.

The content of the class wasn't bad. The test was mostly IDing art and short(long) written essays. The first assignment was a short essay so that you can gain an understanding of her grading style. My short essay was a page long and she said it wasn't long enough. The assignments in this class, or any Art history class, are highly sophisticated.

I always enjoy my classes with Dr. Noble. Go to office hours, review your past exams, and take good notes, and an A shouldn't be that hard.

Dr. Noble's classes are very challenging, but if you care to succeed in her class, you will grow so much! Expect to be held to a very high standard in terms of writing and reading comprehension. If you are struggling, have some humility and meet with her--she is quick to go out of her way to help!

When it comes to the class overall, it's almost impossible to pass with an A. Her cumulative exams cover 75% of what is discussed in lectures, the other 25% is irrelevant. A majority of the questions have to do with subjects that are barely covered in lecture. The median for all exams were in the low 70s; A dropped to a C after final.

Comment:
She gets too distracted easily. There are over 40 people in the lecture hall and yet she stops what she's doing to stare at people who come in late, sleep or text on their phone. She's even cancelled class when she saw someone sleeping. That's not fair to the students trying to learn. She also goes over too much info that won't be on the test.

This is a very VERY hard class. ALL test material is from lectures but she moves so fast during lectures its hard to even comprehend anything. she talks about a lot of heavy information during class, but tests you on material you barely went over and would think is not needed. GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS! not an easy A , YOU NEED TO STUDY TO PASS

She really does care about what she is teaching, but her tests are ridiculous. While she does put things only from the lecture (don't bother reading the textbook) she also adds in random questions about things she barely went over. I went to every single lecture and still had to study for hours to receive an a in this class.

Dr. Noble is clearly passionate about art history. She is a great lecturer. I did not find her class or exams to be particularly difficult. However, I attended every lecture, watched all the videos, did the reading, and took extensive notes. This is what I attribute to the A I received in her class. I am excited to take more classes with her!

Comment:
Dr. Noble clearly knows what she is talking about. She is very knowledgable of the subject. However, she is extremely unfriendly whenever questions are asked of her. In class, she does not answer the question without patronizing the one who asks it. I have personally emailed her multiple times with questions and she is condescending and rude.

I took her ARTH2001 (not listed in options). Everything on the tests will be said in lecture. Never used the textbook once, all materials given on Canvas. Happily answers questions. 4 tests make up your whole grade (too many absences will dock your grade). Very kind and understanding. Would 100% take her again for 2000 level class!

Dr. Noble is the easiest and nicest of ARTH professors at UNCC. She cares about her student's success and is very understanding. Her topics class is a bit challenging so get ready for writing. Her survey classes and medieval are easy as long as you show up and TAKE NOTES! She has a RBF so is misunderstood for being mean. RECOMMEND! Will take again

Learning from Dr. Nobel is amazing. She creates a conversation within her lectures. The conversation is totally inclusive, non threatening and open. She gently leads us toward ideas and is open to hearing it all. As a continuing education student, I was delighted by her warmth and how personable she is. She is a true delight and wicked smart.

For this 3000 level classes, it should be harder, but still, the easiest compare to other professors. We only need to finish one research paper with 7-8 pages for the whole semester. English writing to me, is the most painful thing. She helped me a lot to make progress and encouraged me to reach my potential. Finally, my paper grade is 90.

She respects different cultures so well, and she cares about every students' different situations. For this 2000 level classes, her exam is the easiest. Only had 20-30 slides, multiple-choice questions. If you go to every class and listen to her carefully, you even do not need to do any review.
